back in cottonwood, az
my wife and i were talking about the 1991 movie thelma and louise today as we were rounding a turn by a cliff and she said she read that the flying leap over the cliff at the end of the movie was filmed at our dead horse state park in cottonwood az. i said "i didn't know that and i can't think of anywhere around the park that there was a cliff high enough". well just a bit ago i looked it up and thru the wonders of the internet, i find that "thelma and louise point" is at dead horse point state park, located near moab and canyonlands nat'l monument off rt 313 above the shafer trail. i thought "hey, i've been there" and looked at some pictures some guy took at t&l point. lo and behold, i've got the same picture from the stoveguy dualsport ride. it was the second photostop we made on that ride.
was this some bit of film history that ron told everybody but me?

Ron told us a whole bunch of stuff that he said not to share with you.

We found treasure during the ride and we're all rich.

thanks,
json

Well Ned the issue is that you were not wearing an aluminum foil hat, the Government is not out to get you, you don't believe in UFO's, you don't know that area 51 is real (that's where the aliens are) and Json did not show you the secret hand shake. Otherwise you would be living in the lap of luxury like the rest of us safe with our paranoia and foil hats.
Whoa! beam me back Scotty ! I really had no idea, my brother who showed me the White Rim loop had no idea, so once again you are a fountain of knowledge in all things Berg and Movie trivia related. Your intelect and powers of observation are not to be taken lightly ! I am much more complete as a tour guide now an shall dutifully point this location out from now on !
Later
Ron

Stoveguy, you might be a better tour dude but you still needed a clutch, I wonder what the eco freaks would think of all the mineral oil you left out there..
