Thanks Schwim!

...for the firm stance you are taking. Enough will truely be enough at some point here.

I'm pretty much a total newbie around here and have just recently posted my first donation in support of keeping this site in operation, however, I would fully support slamming the door if it would end some of the drivel I encountered as I backed through the last couple pages of this thread.

UHE cquaintances, be they pals or competitors, be they new or well experienced, or be they professionals or amatuers, taking fair pokes at each other on differing technical viewpoints, or for fun, or stating alternate solutions/opinions to some challenge posed by a Husaberg rider in the midst here who needs some information.....is part of what I expect to see when I browse these forum threads.

However, much of what I trolled through in the previous pages was infinitely different than that. I was neither enlightened nor entertained by the heart of what I just read in many of the preceding posts here. I also quite clearly saw some of the intentional and pointless grandstanding at someone else's expense that you indicated had taken the fun out of daily maintenance of these forums. No kidding!

My deep thanks go out to all the moderators who have to wade through some of this schlock trying to walk the line between allowing contributors to speak their minds and necessarily censoring material that really has no place here.

It's pretty straight forward really.....this is an enthusiast website that came into being to provide a common arena for positive technical exchange based around Husaberg motorcycles in a mutual self-help environment as well as to provide a meeting place for friends joined by common interest, but separated by geography, to get to know each other and share their experiences as well as their experience.

It blows me away that some folks can't figure that out or that there is even any need for a TOS to guide people to utilize the same common respect they would with their good riding buddies at home.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion on any topic, but not all the time in all environments. The focus of topic here is friendly and helpful exchange based around Husaberg motorcyles. If that is too hard for some people, they (whoever they are) really should go elsewhere and join a different club.

Some folks missing the point here might be happier in a place where the intent is to openly berate everyone else no matter what the topic or reason. The UHE site will certainly be happier getting back to strictly bike talk!

Schwim, please, before you need to go as far as killing a whole forum to try and curtail these frustrating negative behaviors....could you maybe just kill a thread that has gone totally off into the weeds? Like, perhaps, this one?? (or any others like it)

I like to try as well as I can to give anyone/everyone the benefit of doubt. Maybe if we just scrape off some of this unfortunate comment and the awkward tangents that have arisen in some silly threads like this one, everyone will refocus on what we all really want and we will find out that, actually, there are no naughty culprits fostering all this drivel, just a whole crew that got off in a silly direction finding it continuosly harder to stop as things went painfully onward.

Does that make sense?

Thanks to all for putting up with this comment on site-conduct by me (like I'm so smart). Do not expect to see another from me on this topic in these forums. I will endeavor to keep my posts, on topic, relating to mining your heads for Berg experience, and bike related interest or fun. It'll be easy!

Now can we please get back to having fun around here?!

Well Said Canaberg!

Rest assured, as moderators, we are working on it, though there is a long learning curve.

Believe me, this site has seen better days in regards to level of respect some people are showing one another. Amazing how just a few posts and a very small minority can ruin the feel of a site like this... we are trying to get it back on course.

believe me there has been much angst over the spat of issues we have had of late. the moderators are thoughtfully observing and trying to decide what to do....

continue to have fun and ask questions of some of the most helpful and intelligent people around, THAT is what the site is for.
