Hey everyone, I'm still trying to figure out how to post threads. I looking for info on updated tricks of the trade rebuilding tips for a long lasting motor for 1998 fc 501. Oil line to the top end, but the important thing is the big end on the rod. SKF bearing took a dump and caused a somewhat tired motor to put a strine on the rod. Whooping sound give it away 20 hrs later. The guy I bought it from put new bearings in "SKF" put it together and sold it to me. The bike is a blast and would hate to scrape it. Please, can Anyone get back to me? Thanks.

I didn't really follow a word you said there fella? double dutch to me!

so the mains have **** themselves or is it the big end?

either way it can all be done somehow. the big end is the danger as they have stopped making the rods. there is a company in Germany called Lanza road (yes in English my good fellow!) and they put a steel ring inside the rod big end.

I can do you a pin and bearing and a little end bush as these are always going. the little end bush is bronze steel backed.

PM me if you like?

regards

Taffy
