FWIW heres 2 drgs i did a while back

one where the lever starts from the same position and one where the initial position of the lever is rotated toward the front of the bike

I was able to move the lever quite a long way forward toward the exhaust as i have a different lever and exhaust so the 5.8mm dimension will be much bigger for normal bikes

also the 2mm deep groove for relief wasn't deep enough due to flexing and misalignment i changed it to 2.4mm
