Jet-Hot Exhaust coating??

Has anyone tried http://www.jet-hot.com/or perhaps a different ceramic coating? Perfomance gains are interesting, but not really my objective. What I'm looking for is a way to lower the radiated exhaust temps.

Reducing radiated heat from head pipes

Here's ann alternative, check it out...the previous owner of my FE 400 wrapped the head pipes with fiberglass cloth, about 1" wide, I think. This has been done by stock car and drag racers for years...a little power squeeze and getting heat out the end of the pipe vs. on your legs and sensitive seals, etc... So far, it seems to work, save for collecting mud and being a little dirty! You can get this from a speed shop, or even McMaster Carr.

Thanks. I'm familiar with the wrap, and should have added that I'd like to know how ceramic coatings from Jet-hot and others work, especially compared to the wraps.

The cost of coating is higher...I'm guessing the Jet-Hot will be about $150. However, it won't collect mud and will otherwise stay cleaner than even unwrapped pipes. However, it all comes down to performance in terms of reducing the temps of the pipes.

I have a custom-made Thunder Alley exhaust on my KTM. It is ceramic coated as well. It still gets just as hot as a non-coated pipe, and I can't tell a difference there. I also don't notice it being any easier to keep clean. It does look cool, though. I'd have to say I wouldn't bother with it if I had to do it over again.

I don't have any experience with the Jet Hot brand specifically, though.

I used this coating process when I did my quad project a while back. Works pretty good has held up goos for me as well
