One thing I can't believe is that you raced on tarmac without any leathers on - no wonder there was blood. Even more scary is the bloke on the start line wearing combats - wooooaahh :?

I can't believe that either, but what you have to realize Simon, is that 90% of the guys racing Supermoto here in CA come from an off-road / desert race background. Few own leathers, and most race in moto gear with a pressure suit underneath. As you can see from the pic, Jedi is wearing Troy Lee Supermoto gear, which has leather panels in the impact zones. But most guys out there are severely under-dressed, in my opinion.

But I was also amassed by the fact that you guys keep wearing what looks like normal MX/enduro outfits. At the show in LV all the euro guys wore leathers and all the US guys rode in fabric. Why doesn't your regulation control this? To me it is obvious that one should wear leather when on tarmac. Here in Sweden we even wear leather when riding on ice...
