I have bought my bike in 06/2011 in almost new condition from first owner (330km on odo).
This is how it looked like:

Mods already on the bike:
-black plastics
-husaberg handguards
-axle crash protection
-blue fuelcap thingy

First thing I did was get frame protectors on it

At first I was not impressed about the bike's straightline performance felt realy slow :?: loooooong gearing (14/38) and It didn't go fast top speed of +-140 it was also very quiet from the exhaust...

So I took it to my local berg dealer and it seemed that the bike was still restricted with max 7000rpm engine map+big cat in the headers.
They removed the cat and loaded "full power" map in the ecu and the bike felt 10x faster/stronger an had nicer 4 stroke sound instead of the sound of a tractor  :D
But I already ordered a fmf 4.1 pipe an bigger (40) rear sprocket just before that....
-Great pipe

I also put the stock plastics back after a few months (that came with the bike) just to have something new to look at  I didn't like the handguards so sold them and bought myself some zeta amror handguards I also wanted to have a computer with more info (revs engine temp etc) So installed a trailtech vapor stealth 8)

+changed suspension settings to "comfort" by the owners manual better for my (62kg) dry weight

After 4 months owning the bike using it 80% for commuting  I did my first trackday on croix en ternois in france :D (just put pirelli supercorsa's on the bike and that's it )

I am used to riding racers so that explains my riding position  I tried pushing the bike away from me and get my foot off the pegs for a few corners but it felt awkward.
I also crashed the bike for the first time in the 1st session at the start of my 3rd lap  (Just finished 2 warming up laps and I thought I was invincible om my little berg and outbraked 2 racers going in a left corner and lowsided the front end of the bike sliding into the gravel  )
My suit was more damaged then the bike the stretch on my backside/*** was ripped + my glove's where a bit "used"
The bike only had damage to left footpeg+left axle sliders/handguard/tiny marks on leftside of rear rim from gravel.
So just picked the bike up and continued riding for the rest of the day wit a slightly dented ego+showing some skin :)

After the trackday I was practicing my "stoppie skills" on the road and I thought I was getting good at it getting higher/rolling further all the time 8)
But just 2 weeks after my 1st crash I landed a stoppie upside down
I just managed to jump of the side of my bike while flipping over (almost at standstill) and the bike just stood there upside down whit the engine running/rear wheel still spinning
This destroyed my stock rear fender (cracked in 2 by impact) so back to black :p

Then I was using it just for commuting during winter 2011/2012 and destroyed my 1st chain/sprocket set because of the salt on the road in only 5000km
I ordered a longer chain+bigger (41 talon) rear sprocket and stopped riding till the roads where salt free again

After this not much going on did some offroading and crashed it the 3rd time trying to ride up some stairs  Also replaced the rear tyre that got good mileage +5000km (mostly to work)

A few months later I bumped into some nice black plastics with blue chrome/graphics on ebay
So the bike was transformed again into this (that I realy like 8) )

I have read here about the rad shroud mods so did that... Didn' notice much to be honest but whatever

30 september 2012 I did another trackday in clastres france (fitted supercorsa rear back on the bike + used front slick tyre from my racer)
+ crashed the 4th time before the trackday even started

I wanted to get a good view on the track but didn't expect the hill was going straight down again when I got up

I also ordered this :bounce3:

Alpina carbon matrix rims with black spokes blue nipples/hubs 5" rear 17 front these thing are LIGHT! 8)

I added some more bling a few weeks ago :D

Blue talon footpegs+sliders 8)

Last week I bought a good used rear tyre so I could fit my alpina rims bike looks REALY nice for me now and you can realy feel the difference in handling 8)

The bike has now run over 150 hours and almost 9 000km and I am planning to do 1 more oil change than ride it to 10k and get the engine out and get some new parts in...

I als want to do less comuting/more trackdays next year so I might tune the bike a little more

edit done
Next mods coming up:
Hid Headlight conversion
WP suspension clear decals for the forks

Cool updates. The bike looks amazing.

Any idea if the catalyst is in the header or the muffler? I'm wondering if I still have mine installed, and don't know where to look.

Thx :)
Well I am not 100% sure but I think it came out of the header I have the thing laying in the garage if you want I can take a pic from it.
I will ask my dealer next time where it came from
But it realy blocked/choked the exhaust it was very quiet first and you almost couldn't feel the pressure from the exhaust if you put your hand on the exit

If it is not too much trouble, please take a pic, perhaps with a ruler next to it to show size? I don't need more power, but if I can get the bike to be a little snappier on throttle, that'd be awesome.

I already emailed bergos about some tuning parts (get my TB bored to 44mm+tune the cyl head+dna filter) for the berg but no reply yet...
Might get fmf megambomb headers if the price is ok from my dealer in their book it was 464€wich seems a good deal but they had to check next week if that was the correct price (taxes etc)

Thanks for taking the time with the pic. I looked at the muffler junction, and I don't have it there. It could still be in the header at the junction at side of engine. I'll have a look there when I get the tank off at the same time.

thx :)
I am making my own axle sliders from skateboardwheels/threaded rod
I wanted titanium m8 rod for strength/lightness but I can only get lengths of 500mm (to short for 2) or 1000mm (to expensive 70€ )
I only need 620mm maybe I will just buy stainless that will be more heavy than husaberg axle sliders setup

Just ordered the "megabomb" fmf header+midpipe :D
Still heard nothing from bergos :?: :?: maybe they do'nt understand english...
Did my last oil/filter change for this year now 9000km and nothing on the magnet :D

Np I found this through this site 2
Next month I'm gonna take my bike to the dyno just to measure the (almost) stock power :)
(just fmf pipe/cut rad shrouds no custom map).
Than I will buy dna air filter and put the fmf megabomb headers on the bike and maybe get some work done by bergos if they would reply my questions that is
(wanna get my throttle body bored out+bigger valve + get some work done in the head for beter flow )
After this is done dyno time again and hopefully a reasonable hp/torque increase with custom map :D

Cool thread mate, glad you enjoy the bike :)

Have a read through my project thread at SMJ for some tips on engine mods; what works etc

I found the ported head and hicomp piston made a huge difference!

Thx I have seen your thread already and read the whole thing interesting stuff :D
I think my bike now will get to +-55bhp and I will be glad if I get it well over 60 after all the things are done that are on my "wanted list"
Hi comp piston makes the bike much more high maintenance I think :?:
I wanna keep the reliabiltity of the bike to do'nt want max power just a little extra keeping it easy/affordable to maintain :)
Piston may add 2 extra hp but also extra € for hc piston vs stock extra wear+extra fast wearing piston I'm glad my piston can get over +150 hours easily and would like to keep it that way even if it "costs" me 2-3hp

Just got myself the dna air filter today and decided to get some work done on the engine in the beginning of jan 2013 :D

HusaBELGfs570, what is your current fuel consumption average?
Mine, with 15x48 gearing, smog stuff removed and everything else stock, "drinks" something between 4 and 5 l/100km.

Mine is doing about 5.1 liters commuting but I know I could do better for lower comsumption but it's impossible to ride very slow all the time with this thing
Max comsupmtion realy riding it as hard as I can on small roads with loads of bends/hard braking/acceleration less than 6.5 liter even on trackdays it's not much more than that way better consumption compared tho the fs 650 models.
The 650 had bigger tank but I couldn't get as far on 1 tank as I can with the 570 :D
