Hot Start Cure 2010's 390 (aus)

i will have a yarn to our local dealer(well its actually his mechanic) here this week and see what he was told about the reflash I got.Whether it was for all models, and for the 570.
I suspect your problem is with the map. With my bike the problem was bad,as with yours, and once refashed totally gone not even a hint.My dealer made a call maybe to Husaberg Australia, and got some imformation

Hi berglsmerg,
When my 570 was new, occasionally it was having troubles starting when hot then it disappeared after the first service. I just rang the mechanic at my dealer and he said he did not change the map.
They did change the plug “LKAR8AI9 Iridium Plug”
He said sometimes the idle is set a bit low and that makes it hard to start.
I also remember they said the valves did not need adjusting when I picked it up from the first service.

Mine is a dealer demo and came "pre loved" with 40 hours on it, so I'm guessing it is one of the earliest 570's. I'll check the spark plug situation so I can at least rectify or eliminate that. My valves had opened up at 60 hours and I've just reset them. Thanks for the input guys

Ordered 2 today Davo, 20 bucks a hit will post up the results, thanks again for the input.

I am going to feel real guilty if the plug doesn't work berglsmerg :?

Its cool Davo at least its something to work towards, at least I'll have some spares. The water pump seals have **** themselves now so that sorta takes my mind of this issue.

The dealer mech called me this arvo to say that Husaberg will cough for the upgraded cam and labour 8)

Hi Guys,
Just spoke to the local Husaberg Dealers mechanic, there is a different upgraded map to cure the hot-start problem, but it is specific to the 390 only....so that sheds light on that issue.

Got my scoot home from the dealer tonight with the upgraded cam. Went for a supermoto lap about town, now I don't know if it's the dry winter night air but it feels stronger especially right off the bottom. I tried a restart after a 5 minute spell and without cycling the pump it fired up with a flick of the throttle. Going for a Burdekin run ( about 100 km) tomorrow so tight sandy single track through the river bank paperbark trees, deep coarse river sand and rock gardens should get her plenty warm and really test the hot starting. Will also take a iridium plug as davo suggested and try it out as well. Has anyone had their cam replaced and noticed a difference in power or the delivery thereof ?

Ok so went for a blast this morning, the first thing I noticed was hot coolant spewing out of the top right hand radiator hose, all over me and mostly the crown jewels. It seems the worksop didnt tighten the hose clamp or run it till the thermostat opened. Then while rectifying that, I notice that the cam chain adjuster is pumping delo 400 all over the shop. Tightened that we're away again. So how does it start ? Not so badly, then I changed the plug half way through. If I give the throttle a quick blip with the starter depressed it fires up within one or two revs even when really hot.

One thing I did notice is that in deep water or even hitting fairly shallow water at pace, water makes its way into the air filter and actually snuffed the motor out a couple of times. It comes in from the seat/shroud join and the small square opening where the fuel line comes out of the tank ( I cut some high density foam to shape a bunged that up) and also water comes from the front wheel, then up in between the tank and inside of the shroud, its channeled straight in and the lowest part of the air box is the throttle body. I definitley wont be drilling or cutting to get more air or whatever in there.
