Keep fingers and toes crossed for me! Going to race the berg tomorrow, its a sprint of a mile or so going up a hill on a packed grovel road, using a trial rear tyre and ordinary mx tyre front, quite similar to ice racing for you guys that tried that.
Hopefully Im in one piece after and will have a vid to share.

Cheers! Tom

Thanks Belgy!

No vid :/ This was my first race of the kind, miserable conditions, rain absolutely pouring down and VERY slippery, nothing like the training I did on packed grovel, this was loose grovel. You only get one training run and then quali so you need to nail it right away from your morning cofee. Proved too unsafe for my taste as I hadnt ridden the course before and coming up from the steep climb all you see is big metal bars and a blind curve coming in at a real 150kph, I think Im brave but not Im not stupid. Top riders concurred this was a very difficult one. Walk of shame while in one piece is better imo.
Ill do it again though with more suitable conditions.
At least I tried.

Very awkward to not be able to run the track prior, 50 meters of ride from the tent to the start, then full on just having walked the track, no warming up whatsoever, heh.

Good call.
You aren't posting x-rays with screws holding bones together so it went well in my book.

What trials tire is that? The profile looks too round for a typically square tire. Overinflated maybe.
