Got the new wheelset !!

Brian, are you going to run any of the Supermoto USA series? (medford Ore. 6/10-11 or Reno 9/25-25?) The bike looks sweet. Other than having different rubber choices with the 16.5 front do you notice any difference in feel with it?

I will be at Medford.... I'm gonna "try" for Reno.......
I like Pirellis and Dunlops, I run SC1's and after this last tire buy I will go for the new Dunlop SM slicks.....I will be getting a slipper here soon, then really figure out the exhaust system..... The bike is so fast now I really am afraid to screw with the engine/exhaust....
The 17 and 16.5 have the same outer dimensions but the 16.5 has a vee profile.....so more tire patch for sure...I have ridden SMR's back to back one with 17's and one with a 16.5.... the 16.5 is almost impossible to push I much prefer the 16.5.....one thing to consider with radical front tire changes etc is how fast you can make these things fall into the corner.....with the 16.5 I will first try it with my forks all the way up so I have a reference point....... you know me I will give a full report when I come to some concrete conclusions.......

I felt with the 17 front and 5" rear that my 02 chassis was slow to respond, I've thought about trying a different offset t-clamp. Have you looked into this?

I think stock is 20 ??....you can get the 18-16 adjustable ones....
before doin that, put less sag in the rear, like 7 turns on your rear shock, then try it, If no diff put your sag back and take 6 clicks out of your fork compression still no diff put back and drop your triples 2 mm at a time till the bike starts to twitch pinned, back off abit and fine tune with suspension settings....I always liked sag at 80-85 mm, I'm not a suspension expert at all but what I have learned is make sure the sag/springs are correct for your weight, If not everything you do is just gonna mask the issues....
my Berg was a ***** when ridden hard for the first 1-2 hrs, I set the sag and set all the clickers to what the book said and started from there....the one thing you will notice is that the bike will feel like its falling too fast when entering a corner, compared to what you already had....If you can't get used to it then push the triple back even further till its where you like it....The Husabergs suspension is very very sensitive to adjustment, I learned that very quickly......I like to muscle the bike abit goin in and yank the bars abit to get her out.....I think the 16.5 will make me change my style....bummer I just liked the fact I had developed a style...btw style is a nice way of putting it :(
I am very lucky to know a fellow that has forgotten more than I will ever learn.... :D

Not to hijack your thread...

But I got the SM set just to goof off with. Don't worry, I'll never race w/ ya (you'll win way too easy, and you won't be satisfied). Anyhow, I've street plated my bike, and it is a kick in the pants. Went out and put 20 miles on in 45 degree weather just to, as I told the wife, make sure it works...and boy does it work.

I've already been bit...so far this Berg is the bomb diggity doggy dog stuff (not really sure what that means, but it sounds good). I went with a dampened rear hub, because I still will ride dirt on a regular basis (every weekend), but I can swap wheel sets in 30 minutes.

This bike is awesome, awesome, awesome! And I can definitely see the ease of addiction to Supermoto...
