Hey...Guess What...it's 2013 !!!!!!
According to my Husaberg Calendar it's the Year of Force Ride 5.
Talk during Force Ride 4 was that Force Ride 5 should be in Moab, Utah.
I searched but didn't see a thread already.

Can we get a thread going for Force Ride 5 ?

Here's my suggestions;
Let's not have it when Moab has it's majoir events like car shows, etc.
Let's try to get the campground where Force Ride 1 was held.

I have been on my best behavior and have no 'events' in my nervous hospital folder.
I will continue to have no 'violent outburst resulting in major injury or death to staff and/or patients' because the voices in my head want to go there too. They don't call it Force Ride 5 but call it The 3am Cabin to Cabin Dance of Swing the Machette Quietly.

our physic link must be working as i thought about this yesterday as well.

Moab was the favoured option at the last one, mainly cos i thin fritz and the gang want a holiday away from home :D

good idea trying to do it the same time as a car show or whatever, though will that have an impact upon accomodation avalibility? it will just mean we have to book in ASAP.

cypher,
you are a very brave guy. i say that because even though you are a foreigner you still attempt to read, write and speak english. you did pretty well in your reply. but in english when someone says "not" it is like the word "no".
i know you understand what "no" means because you heard it allot in the hot tub on FR4 from the ladies who joined you. at first i guess that you didnt understand but then it became clear what the meaning is....pepper spray in the eyes is a good teacher. but i could see how you would be confused. at first mr. smooth was telling you 'no' but it was a quiet whisper as he looked back over his shoulder nibbling on this finger.
i was saying to [start capital letters] not [end capital letters] have it during a major event. because its hard to get rooms and everyplace is crowded. think of 'no' like the french 'ne [word] pas'. like if you were asking a frenchmen to join you in the hot tub, he might say 'ne vaminos pas'. we all know that vaminos is french for go so he said basically 'no go'. i guess this is a bad example because a foreigner will always go with another man into the bath house. well some americians too if you consider mr. smooth americian.
thanks for bringing up the topic of immigration. there's an old southern saying about foreigners, although they are talking about notherners moving down south and having kids there and then thinking the northerners kids are southerners....'just cause a cat has kittens in an old stove, it dont make 'em muffins'.
i how you make it again. its great to go riding with you and especially watching you tell stories of the day by combining sign language, shadow puppetting, and drawing in the dirt with a stick. you do an excellent impersonation of a revving motor also.
cheers [and other sitcoms from the 90's]

Uh, wheere was Force 1 held? and are these rides open to all?

the first force ride was in moab utah in a campground on the right immediately after you cross the river going south from the interstate.
it was wonderful because we rented all the cabins in the back which made it easy and fun to hang out.
that might have been the first time that many husabergs were in one place in the usa.

the riding in moab is world famous although you hav to stay on the trails. there's some algae crap that grows on the ground thats is protected like an endangered species or something.

hope that helps

Endangered algae? Only in America, do we protect algae and let the dopers have kids that don't get fed. Anyway, it sounds fun. I've never ridden Moab, when are you guys going?

Count me in... At least - I hope so. Like Tuts, I'm on the meds and they seem to be working out now that the dosage has been steady. I've had no "episodes" for almost a week now

Yes, lets do March 16th. My sister wil be running in the marathon that weekend :D

I love Moab, go every year!

i think what needs to happen, to make this happen, judging by what was happened in all past Force Rides is that there a few tireless volunteeres that do a ton of leg work behind the scenes.
they get Husaberg to participate.
they get companies to provide swag.
they line out the accomadations.
they get the groups together.
the few do the work for many to enjoy.
i think that this year they should receive a pat-on-the-back for their efforts.
i will start a fund and donate $50 for this specific purpose.
maybe they will get a lobster dinner.
maybe a new set of tires.
maybe get the surgery to remove that telltale adams apple.
whatever they want.
i have a good idea who "they" are but not 100% sure.
i have been to each and every one of the Force Rides and i know it isnt easy.
if a cheap dbag like me can do this $50 start well anyone can
without these nearly invisible heros it would not come out nearly as good as i does, if at all.
i know they would probably do it without any of this
but just like we would be lost without json [aka Neo from Matrix] we would be in disarray, or datarray, with these guys [guys does not define the moving target of gender].

i really think that we need to get that campsite with the cabins in the back that Force ride was at.
i was going to say "who's with me?" but then i realized i wouldnt even raise my own hand.

This one was my favorite too. Spent a lot of time riding with Rick, Fritz, and Lee and many others. The toilet story will truly live on as long as the site is around. You just had to have been there.

I think this was the site
http://www.slickrockcampground.com/
Slick Rock Campgrounds

Who is working to put this together??

I'll bring beer.

Let's set a date and reserve all the cabins.

I'm going for the riding and guy fun.
Not the kind of guy fun some are talking about that happened in the bathrooms.
I hope you guys put the pink bandana on your chest protector so we know what you're about.

SO WHO IS STARTING THIS??
I'm getting pissed

I am not taking the blame for the shitters
but
Ill go and make chilli again if you guys go again. Moab is not my favorite place but you all make it worth going.

I'll try to put something together this evening. Maybe we can get the ball rolling.

OK boys and girls. So you think you want F5.
The first thing we need is a few people interested in putting it together. I have been involved with prior rides but may have to pass on this one, or at the least take a back seat. Started a new business and have been working 65-90 hour weeks, usually 7 days a week. To boot I have not cashed a pay check in almost 2 years( I also currently have no motorcycles to speak of). So thats my deal.
Generally speaking it takes about 6 months to put one of these things together. Most people need that long just to plan there time off. With that being said we may be able to make this happen around September again if we start in the next month or so.
Next consideration is where. I will start another thread with a poll. So far it has been Moab and Crested Butte. I think the group may be interested in a new area if it can be promoted properly and meets the groups needs.
If someone can make a compelling proposition for a new place I will gladly add it to the poll. Awhile back backcountry gave a suggestion for the Reno Nv area. It looked very interesting. I'm going to quote myself here.
"Nominating a place is fine. You just need to do a little better job of selling it. Distance to large airports? Accommodations? Local support (guides/dealers)? How much riding, number of trails, variety of trails? Distance to trailheads? OHV sticker required? Any activities available besides riding? How many micro brewery's are in the immediate area? Maybe a few links for information. You get the drift. Unfortunately there are a lot of things to consider. Last but not least, what role can you play in the planning and execution."
