FMF Ti Powercore in Blue Anodized installed on FE570

I just got my pipe installed on the Fe570 and worked out great. I'll post some pics of it when I get back from work.

I found that from the factory it sounded like a sewing machine, not a dirtbike. Not to mention the power seemed pretty flat for a 570 in a high state of tune. I was going to try the new FMF Husaberg pipe but couldn't find any out yet so I bought a FMF Titanium Powercore in Anodized Blue finish off of Ebay for the 525 EXC.

I had to grind the aluminum front bracket a bunch to allow it to bolt back in, but this took maybe 5 minutes. You also have to use the large spacer that is included with the pipe at the front bracket.

Impressions:
Power across the board seems noticeably stronger, the factory pipe is stuffed up bad with baffles and this one is straight through with a smooth transition from the pipe. Noticeable torque increase on the bottom and mid. Seems to rev out better as well too, probably picked up a couple ponies up top.

Deep throaty sound but not too loud. If you've heard the 08 KX450 with the cheater pipe that they use from the factory, it sounds slightly less loud than that. Combined with the intake noise it sounds fantastic. I can ride all day and it doesn't make your ears ring, but people commented that it sounded tough. I can't see anyone ever complaining about the noise, but I don't live in Cali so I'm not sure how sticky they are there.

Ti Powercore is lighter and shorter than factory, sticks out just past the number plate.

Doesn't rub the rear tire when you bottom out like the factory can. And I am bottoming out constantly, this factory suspension is far too soft for MX use.

It comes with a removable spark arrester. I left it in for now, with it removed the sound is louder and has a little more "tinny" ring to it.

Cheap ($280 USD on ebay) for a Ti pipe.

Looks sweet in the Anodized Blue finish, which matches the Berg blue nicely.

Overall, I am happy with it and recommend it for guys with the stocker can still on.

Soooo......... where are these pics?! :p

My dealer is trying to sell me the Akro slip on for $995 Aust (but he will discount it 20% cause I bought the bike there) or I can get the FMF 4.1 for $505 delivered from the U.S.

Not heard from people who have experienced either but the savings seem good to me.

my 4.1 Ti muffler cost just over $300 delivered to aust and it is the correct one to suit the late model bergs

hey can you give a linky to that $$$$$!!!! Cheers :)

search ebay American, he is the guy who has the fmf 4.1's to suit KTM for $285, i just emailed hiom and asked if he could get the ones for the Husaberg's and paid via paypal. will check when i get home after work if i have his ebay user name wrote down anywhere.

How did you guys know the KTM pipe would fit your bikes?
I would hate to get one over from the States and it not fit.
Then again.... i suppose i would need a berg before i bought a pipe ;)

cheers bowser!

Crankn, even before ktm bought husaberg there was a lot of parts cross over between the two brands. The 09/010 FE bergs are 80-90% the same mechanically and suspension wise with their KTM brothers. they share ALOT of part numbers!

Its really cool that the bikes still have very seperate and different personalities considering this!

Hmmm, just thought that because the motor was a completely different setup then the exhaust would be different as well...... i suppose a can is a can though.....

In reality almost all of the internal parts of the motor are the same as the KTM XC4 engine. Just put together "better".

your right the exhaust is very different, but the can is very similar, very easy mods to bolt it up (some filing of the mount tabs).

Besides the side cases, fuel injection and an extra oil circuit to pump oil out of the head, the engine is essentially the same!

Here's a couple camera photos from earlier this winter. You could make it an even closer match if you pulled off all of the FMF steel sticker stuff at the end, it'd be just blue and titanium then. I had a vid of it running, will try to find and post. Loving the power, sound and weight reduction... best mod for the bike I've done so far.

I just bought a FMF TiQ4 silencer on KTKtalk last week. Good thing because when I looked at my bike this morning I saw that my studded tire wore a 6 inch long hole in my stock silencer. I knew it was hitting every once in awhile but never imagined it would wear right through it. Stiffer springs just moved up the priority list. My concern is I just bought a size 120-100/18 Pirelli MT16 tire. Is anybody running this tire and if so, any problems with it rubbing on the silencer?

I don't know about that tire, but I still have the stock Bridgestone on my bike and it has rubbed the stock silencer from the beginning. Not badly, but you can see that it rubs.

i just bought a FMF 4.1 Ti and fitted it to my FX450 last night. Can't wait to twist the throttle in the desert this weekend. The shorty FMF looks so neat and feels much lighter than stock.

Lovely pics, but I have to say it would just kill me to wheel the scoot out of the garage, look at that grey sky and snow, and have to put it away again, until warmer days...

Ciao

The FMF 4.1 Ti pipe works just great - everything I expected and more. Not much louder, yet noticeably more power through the rev-range.

More power off the bottom makes it that much easier to loft the front wheel and hold the wheelie effortlessly.

Feels like I have picked up some more revs at the top end of the rev range.

The Ti pipe is a lot lighter than the stock unit.

The added grunt adds to the silky smooth magic carpet ride of the Berg.
