FE570 with Rekluse - any opinions?

Has anybody ridden one of these yet? I have an issue with the rear brake, as i have dodgy ankle. The left handlebar mounted brake option is a massive pull for me, but having not ever any bike with a Rekluse, let alone a 570, whats the opinion?

My Gasser 300 is gone, the cash is in my pocket, but which bike gets the deal?? 530EXC or FE570. With the $1500 KTM hardparts deal, its about $2000 cheaper than the KTM. But the deal for the 1/2 price Rekluse that's going round is very interesting.

The 570 with the Rekluse and LHRB is the dogs nuts!!
It does take some getting used to. there is definately a learing curve.
Most people that ride my bike dont like it. I'm sure it is the learning curve.

I have the 570 with the Reklus installed.
After some hours I got use to it, and happy since.

I would just like better the EXP model so I could do fast change when racing desert or dunes...

So guys what takes the getting used to? My only concern i think is the deep sand we get in Western Aus and ridng the bike lazy in those areas. At least with a clutch, if you get the worng gear, you can slip it to pick the revs up.

You can always keep the clutch lever and not opt for the LHRB.

My understanding is with the Z-Pro you still reatain some clutch action. I have ridden a 450 Berg with Rekluse fitted, and it was awesome.

Your best bet is to give Sutto a call or PM him here. He is the Oz importer for Rekluse and is Australia's longest serving Berg dealer.

Good luck (i'm envious)

For an Electric only bike it looks like the best Rekluse would be the EXP. After a few guys posted on KTM Talk that you could carry the manual pressure plate so you could bump start the bike, Al Youngwerth, the owner of Rekluse, chimed in saying you could just carry the "spanner tool " (sic)that is used for setting clearance on the EXP , so you could close the clearances up for bump starting to get home - he said "the clutch lever action in this mode will not be very good, but it will get you home". Might reduce a few peoples fears about getting stranded if you loose the button.

Another alternative is the Clake - I've used Recluses & LHRB for 6 years now, but am probably going to try one soon - pity about the price - although probably close (might even be cheaper, especially for those OS with good exchange rates) if you add up an EXP & extra lever, plus juggling levers difficulties. Either way, each would have its advantages & disadvantages. There is thread in the general section of KTM Talk from a fellow that has just installed a Clake, that he hopefully will expand upon, but so far he's rapt in it. Porky Eldridge uses one & loves it as well. If he doesn't know what works well for someone with leg problems (RH lower leg amputee), no one does.

Hi all,
I'm currently riding a 570 with a Rekluse Pro fitted and it works like a treat! I know I sell them Blah, Blah , Blah, but seriously it does work outstandingly well everywhere from tight knarly single track to wide open trails. I do still run the clutch lever but have plenty of customers with the LHRB kit fitted and some with the dual brake system. If you have any questions about Rekluse just ask me.
Best Regards
Sutto
ps.Bearorso, good to see your around!

Sutto, as per our messages a few weeks back, i have a particular interest in the LHRB as i have a dodgy right ankle. The thought of 2 levers on the bar freaks me out, in case you get it wrong. I suppose with no clutch lever and no kick start, theres always the chance of getting stuck witha flat battery or starter motor issue.

As per my message yesterday, my Gasser is gone and i am still dead keen on the 570 with Rekluse. Gotta move the 450EXC in a couple of weeks and we could be right to go.

Sav, contact Sutto, who chipped in on this thread.

Sutto - spotters fee - LOL!

RE: Re: FE570 with Rekluse - any opinions?

Hi Guys,
Please dont confuse this 1/2 price Rekluse deal. It is only for customers that purchase a FE570 from Sutto's MC Supply till the end of June, I'm sorry it does not extend to bikes bought from other Husaberg Dealers with in Australia.
Best Regards
Sutto
