Fastway FIT HG's - DR 24Hr

In last years 24Hr test the Berg had the Fastway FIT Handguards with what appeared to be the "Handguard Only Mount" - Billet top bar clamp. In the pics from this year it looks like they used the universal 1-1/8" mounts that just replace your top clamp half and bolt up to the aluminum spine.

Anyone else running them, what mounts did you buy and all that? I'm going to call FP to confirm whether the "Handguard Only Mount" is still compatible with the Scotts/GPR mounting plate down the road to go with a stabilizer.

Fastway sells 3 versions, I believe.

1) individual top clamps, LH and RH

2) one solid top clamp

3) one solid top clamp with a sliding mount for steering stabalizers

#3 is what you are interested in, very well made.

In 2005 they used the solid billet top clamp - "Handguard Only Mount"
In this years pics on they used the individual top clamps - "Universal Mount"
They sell the full stabilzer mount as well your right

I'm interested in the solid top clamp, but I'd like to know whether the solid top clamp which has two slots running parallel with the bars is compatible with the stabilizer plate in the full on setup. That way I don't have to buy the $85 clamp and plate down the line with the $350+ GPR/Scotts.

The stabilizer is a pipe dream anyway, I just want some stable & bitchin' handguards

Thanks for the link, that's the first place I went so I used the proper descriptions. The stabilizer compatability issue seems to be muddy-ing the water.

Simpler inquiry.

Those who are using them or mounted them to the 24Hr DR - TT bikes, did you use the 1-1/8" "universal mount" or the billet top clamp mount "handguard only" from fastway website? There are no Berg part numbers, so as long as KTM and Berg use the same top triple clamp and bar mounts the KTM part numbers should work for the "HG only" mount.

The Fastway stuff for KTM's works on the 'Berg. The bolt patterns are the same. The triple clamps, however, are not identical as the Husaberg offset is 22mm vs. 20mm for KTM. I have the the sliding damper mount with the F.I.T top clamp and it works great on my Husaberg.

The KTM kit for mounting the stabilizer UNDER the bar does not work with the Husaberg. The steering stem nut on the Husaberg sticks up too high and interferes with the damper.

That top nut on the triple clamp has a ton (1/4 inch) of excess material. I just mounted a GPR under bar...and ground the nut down. have clearance now, and the clamp is still tight...

I installed the fastway system om my new 06 FE650 , Great fit and finish

easy to change the bar postion with the scotts dampner.

I powder coated the handguard mounts black , installed the scotts and the black spoilers.

Iam a dealer for both produts and it is the only way to go.......

I have the fastway's on all three om my 06 KTM's also......

I have the fastway mounts and guards, have had em since 04.
Solid, damn near crash proof, I can personally attest to this!
They dont budge when you go down, and tons of room between hands and levers etc, dont have to trim your levers with em.

Only complaint is the plastic shields are not very tall, have had my fingers wacked in tight terrain.
Solution, mounting the Moose Flexible hand guard shields.
