Hi all
Last Friday I was at 3 sisters "practise day" for the the Nora supermoto championship!
Christian Iddon Was Testing his word championship bike! The bike looks very similar to the standard bike unlike the bikes that was used the previous years that looked like...................... tractors?
The frame is heavily modified with extra steel everywhere!!! and it looks that the front was stipend up considerably!!
At the engine front I don't no if that was the championship motor or a standard one it didn't look that special.
Probably a standard engine for testing the frame and suspension!???
By the way the forks wear marzocchis!!!!!!!!!!!!

missfire shouldn't your nickname be mispelt?

Bloody Hell Taffy, you don't take any prisoners do ya?

BTW I was down at DCR the other week and saw a modified frame. It had thicker steel gussets welded in way of the swing arm pivot lugs. I take it this is a weak point?

well trying to spell the heading correctly is usually a good start!

this is where they are strengthened on the SRoffroad bikes and from what i can gather DCR is desperate for SR (mick the owner) not to leave the husaberg household. mick's knowledge of racing them goes back a long way and i believe that he was trying to entice mick with some spondoolies (£$£$£$) to stay husey and race husey.

he is selling lots more huskys than huseys but he has a lot of parts business with the huseys and can't afford to leave from what i can gather.

that mod is exactly as he described it to me. mind you mick probably borrowed it off someone else who borrowed it off someone else who........

regards

Taffy

Miss Fire:

Thanks anyway.
And don't mind Taffy.
The Brits are a surly lot, as I'm sure you know by now

I'm on a mission now to check out Iddon's ride.
Maybe we'll get him over here for a race or two this year.
We only need to sell 500 more bikes to make it happen !!

Cheers,

Brett Saunders

If you haven't noticed it the information on www.husaberg.se has been updated with the SM and enduro teams for 2005.
It says that Iddon (650) is racing in the factory team as well as last years spanish race winner Jorge nestor (450). Jochen Jasinski is racing with some factory support but not in the official team.
The team running this years SM team is Nestors last years team (my guess) ENDURAID. I've googled for more info about them but with no luck. Anyone knows anything more??

A couple of friends of mine are leaving SWE and going to DC today to pick up a couple of new bikes (FS650) today. They are staying for three (I think) days for some racing/vacation. I can tell them to try to get some more info from DC about Chris' new bike.

hey only joking it's good to have a laugh no offinse please i appoligise dont know taff but he is a good asset to the site i think
