I know he's not dead cuz I see his AIM nickname pop up once in a while, but I was wondering why Dale is not showing up these days?

Is he still upset because of the Takis incident?

Or he's just not into Husabergs, now?

Or we stink?

All of the above?

What/When/Who??? I Knew I Should Have Been Paying More Attention?

froggy

you're far cleverer than me with computers. check his last 10 messages and in it you'll see he mentions that he's buggering off for a few months wiv some raceteam/work.

he said straight away that he'd be out of contact.

regards

Taffy

The Lineaweaver/Noyes Yamaha R1LE team is at VIR today.Since Laguna where they really struggled there had been some trying times for this team.I see that they finished 20 th in the superbike race yesterday with although a long way from the box is a giant step from where they were 2 weeks ago.The fact we have heard nothing from Dale is because he has his head down and working 24 hrs a day on this project.
Race 2 is this on speed channel this aft at 6 eastern...check it out!
RockyMt is close to the team and knows all :D
FWIW Jim Allen calls the shots in AMA superbike,I think it is very difficult to get inside the hornets nest with Michy sneakers on>

Well that's pretty good for him that he's so busy with that gig.

Taffy, I don't read every thread, sorry.

All us ner-do-wells will be back on the board within a week or so. Just too busy to do anything else right now.
Cheers,
-Rocky-

Just my opinion and there is sure to be someone to jump on me BUT,,,look at the top 10 or more finishers and what do they have in common DUNLOP tires...in AMA if you are not hangin around the right tire tent you are pushing a big rock uphill!

What a bummer to hear. I was really hoping for some big things from one of our own. I wonder what is holding them back. Resources? Equipment? Rider? I certainly hope they bounce back. Maybe Dale or someone can explain to us the real deal sometime.

Tire brands are often advantaged by the track conditions.

Michelin tires ain't all that bad and no I am not saying that cuz they're French.

Funny to see Dale's name, tho.

Lefrog,
It isnt so much that Michelin tires are bad, there not at all.Road racing like off road racing is all about finding the right settings for all the things that can be adjusted on the bike. When only 2-3 riders are using Michelin tires and the bulk of the field especially the fast guys are using Dunlop it becomes very difficult to get enough feedback in the time available to make the correct decisions. If you are outside the tent and have a problem with settings then maybe you think maybe you need horsepower and the more you get the slower you go,things start breaking and generally you are lost and next a DNS.
Racing success is sure not easy and if you are trying to run a small team you need every bit of help you can get, and tires a big part of the success story. There is a reason why ,very often, the riders thank the tire companies on the box.

Anyone know Kenny Noyes results from Laguna?

With DL's help Kenny's bike must have performed awesome.

Whenever someone asks a question publicly that they already know the answer to it always makes me wonder......

I could not agree more, Ken.
Dale might be fumbling out there, but at least he's trying.
Just goes to show that we all have a lot to learn.
Please pass on my best wishes.

Cheers,

Brett

Rocky, took me a couple times to "read bettween the lines" You are a good friend to Dale and he to you. You guys are a great example of what friends should be, my old man always preached to me as a kid not to tear others down but try to inspire others to come up to your level. I've been fortunate to have been involved in boat racing, drag racing, and offroad motorcycle racing, sometime as pit crew and support others as rider. Some real highs (Baja 1000 class wins and podium finishes) and real lows (watched as a kid my dad flip a race boat) but always the common thread the support of others I didn't even know. As the Floyd says " Did you trade a walk on part in the War, for a lead roll in a cage"? Far better to be at the track trying than at the computer critisizing .
Good Luck Dale!

Stoveguy,
I dont think anyone is trying to slam anyone here, probably we are all getting so freakin antsy to hear of Lineawaevers exploits that we have started to make stuff up. :D

Great tires (Pirelli), great pilot (Kenny) and a great bike (Yamaha R1 LE).

Painfully under powered, a wrecked van, totaled trailer and a blown engine simply took some of our wind.

European and US rules are quite different as are the fuels.

My learning curve was quite steep in particularly regarding the fine line which defines legal.
