Can you imagine a Lineaweaver/BOSS/Taffy/JBS Racing inspired Berg :)

For what it may be worth and certainly bordering on pompous, the truth is if you are riding a post 1995 Husaberg to some degree it has already been "Lineaweaver" inspired.

Kenny Noyes and I were directly linked to Husaberg Sweden throughout the late nineties. Many of our upgrades and / or modifications trickled into production. Such being the purpose of said factory support.

Unfortunately beating out the factory KTM effort in 2000 proved to be the death blow to our factory backed "skunk works" R&D program.

Dale

Indeed, still a bit jaded after all these years.

If 250 people put in $50 we could buy a new FE550 and have $4,500 to spend on Mods.

I'll do the breather mod 8) Free

After the contest the bike could be given to a lucky donator via a drawing.

Sounds like fun seeing how we have an awesome baseline bike to work with.

The only worry might be having too many expert cooks in the kitchen. :)

We may be talking about two different things here.
Later in the year, we'll be submitting a BLING-BLING-ed bike to DR for a series of articles called "Dream Bikes". BOSS will be building it, and we'll be stickings tonnes of useless aftermarket crap on it :)

Best regards,

Brett Saunders

p.s. yes I know I said bling.

If yer lookin' for a SUPER supermotard, I'm lookin at a full on Lineaweaver-ed machine right here in my little garage of horrors, buy the beer and you can take all the pics ya want! :D

250 members send Dale $50. Dale procures 05-06 Fe550 from Motoxotica. We vote on the mods and Dale does them (at full door rate) and delivers bike to Dirt Bike Magazine. Charging for expenses of course. Bike is given away by a drawing or given to json. Should be enough money to do this. :) :) :) :) 8) 8) 8)

We crash the Dirt Rider party and clean up

FWIW, I think the bike should be donated anyway for the ensuing publicity. Just another test bike, maybe the bike for the 24 Hour Test is avail.?

Send that puppy to Dale for an awesome SM conversion w/ slipper and power shifter mods. Of course the usual Lineaweaver top end work, cam, and ridding the motor of that useless counterweight

So it would go... BMG donates bike, UHE members pony up funds for modifications as the magazine wants web commmunity help, then sell/raffle bike and the funds are split based on the percentage of "donation"... (of course BMG would get some of this)

Dont feel to bad about being excluded from the "invite" list.

"Talking Smack", the Gas Gas forum, has also missed out.

Seems that any site that represents a small (read: minimal advertising dollars) consumer market has not been included.

Which is a pity, because the smaller enthusiast based forums (Husaberg and Gas Gas) could deliver some very competitive bikes in the respective areas.

(for the record, 75% of KTM Talk guys want an enduro/offroad bike, I imagine UHE and Talking Smack would be the same ?)

O.K. ...... since we didn't actually get invited the least we can do is register at the Dirt Rider Magazine Forum and convince the membership at the DR forum to build a Husaberg. Jimmy Lewis is the moderator so he will be reading everything. Now is your chance to let Dirt Rider Magazine know how you feel about Husabergs

I just noticed RockyMt's post. So is there anything left to do on it Rocky?
Ohh, I wouldn't go quite THAT far, I'll see what Mr. Lineaweaver has up his sleeve.....(too much is never enough) :D

I have a $100 donation burning a hole in my pocket to get this going....

Are we still all talk????
