Ive searched here, and the www...

does anyone know of or (hidden here in plain sight = why I cant find it)

a list of cross over parts for the Bergs?

IE
I know that from reading here that a rear wheel set from a 2008 model year KTM RFS will work on a 2008 Berg...just flip it.

stuff like that?

bearings
major bits (pegs, clutch stuff etc)
Cables
chain sliders/guides
seats?

anything?

thanx

Not sure of an all-encompassing list but here's what I do:

-Go to cheapcycleparts.com (or any moto web store that shows year/make/model detail)

-enter Husaberg part number (from parts manual that should've come with the bike; if not, it can easily be downloaded)

-when the part comes up, there will be a listing of all the KTM bikes it is made for

voila...

agree with the KTM cross reference.

we've had this question before as well. why don't you start a cross reference list?

That said, I was always, somehow, Volun-TOLD

You good folks have forgot more than I know currently about bergs (this is only my second one)

but....
I will start a thread....and if enough people chime in, I will build a list.

Useless info probably but this info may help you get your head around it,

When KTM/Husaberg went to the multi number part number system they used the first 3 numbers as the model ID,
eg Husaberg up to 2008 use 8. ie 800, 810, 815, 820 if the part starts with this its a specific part made for Berg. it also tells you the capacity.
KTM use 5. ie 595, 590, 585, 580, 546, 503 the 3 numbers eg 590 KTM 525 EXC and 503 is a KTM 125 these parts are used widely throughout the Husaberg range.
Seems as KTM had so many parts at there fingertips they just grabbed the closest one and put it in the Husaberg engine and manual.
Without going on to long the newer Husaberg FE use 812 and the KTM EXCR is 780 these parts will crossover as well.

I had to remember all this as when i ordered parts from Husaberg Australia as the spares system did not cross match from Husaberg to KTM, so if you ordered a part from Husaberg it would be nil stock and go on backorder but swap to KTM and there would be 10 in stock, KTM was usually cheaper as well so i would check the parts fitment and order from KTM first.
The other handy tool i have is being able to type in a part number and it will tell you every model it fits.
I used it recently to find that the Husaberg 2008 stator is the same as the 2008 KTM EXCR and purchased a KTM Baja rewound high wattage stator that was not offered for my Berg but its the same part.
Husaberg are always left on the shelf a bit when it come to parts as they are not so popular.
Best of luck with your list i hope this helps
