Camchain tension/new tensioner arm

The following applies to ´01 thru´03 engines:

I was surprised to see how taut my new cam chain was when mounted, so I checked around. I had been handed a ´05 tension arm 800.36.002.100 and not the one Taffy speaks of in the Doc (800.36.002.000 ´04). Just got off the phone with Husaberg Scandinavia with some good info:

The chain being tight and hard to mount is normal... it will loosen somewhat during break-in. This surprised me.
The ´05 arm is an upgrade to the ´04 model which proved to be too weak and had a tendency to straighten over time. (Same problem as the old one ´03 and earlier I can tell you....) The ´05 arm is beefier and the one to use.

I´m a little less confused now. :D

Are you using your stock 2002 spring loaded camchain tensioner along with the 2005 plastic slipper? How about the guide?

Yep, stock tensioner with button removed. 2005 tensioner arm/slipper and stock guide. Same set-up as been discussed here and in the Doc, except for the ´05 arm/slipper.

Engine is now fully assembled and I´m hoping for a test run this weekend.
