First guys to arrange a group Husaberg ride in their area, have to start a post, documenting their ride. Whadyareckon ?

2 Husabergs equal a group ride hahaha

520 pilot, me & weed are always up for a ride somewhere, good to meet halfway or something, Rainbow Beach ( wikid wheelie session ) or inland at Kenilworth/Ambil. Got $hit planned for the 24th sept or so ???

Get on it to find another Husabergian in your area. When Force Ride 2010 is in on it's 4 to a car & heaps cheaper for everyone to come !! OOOh Yeeah!!

Wildman/Pilot,

I just caught this thread. I live smack, bang in between Kenilworth/Gheerula and Imbil. Many, many km's of whatever you like around here.

I'm desperately trying to sort out an oil contamination issue after doing a bit of work on my bike. But i'm hoping that by the end of today (or at least next weekend) she'll be ready to hit the trails again.

If you are interested you are more than welcome to meet up at my house, just let me know.

MPM_ANDREW,

Popup (Weed) & I go to Kenilworth & Borumba Dam regularly so we will have to catch up for a ride soon then. Weed's got heaps of tracks logged on the gps so recon for the ride wont be nearly as time consuming as it would have been otherwise. I'd love to get another Force Ride organised there for April/May next year if we could. Awesome riding but a fair old travel for the guys way down south. Mind you, a wise old man once said " If you build it they, will come"

Worth catching up for a ride next time we're down there. PM me your contact details & I'll send ours. Caught up with Steve from the site with his wife yesterday. Havent seen them since the '08 OZ Force Ride. Always good to talk Husabergs...

Caldecott Motors P/Ltd
Riddoch H/way
5267 Kieth (South Australia)

At least you could give them a call!

Hey All,

I'm from Freeling, SA.... got myself a 2003 FE400

Have found Caldecott motors pretty helpful, havent really found anyone closer to Adelaide that deal with the 'bergs... apparently SA dirt bikes will service them etc... Pitty there arent more dealers here for an awesome bike!!!

Gday from Charters Towers, Queensland. A friend and myself have a matched set of 08 FE's. His is the 650 and I have the 550. We're in the bush so e do 75% trail and river runs and the rest of the time is about town or on the outskirts. We are looking to do a decent ride somewhere ( 3-5 days ) so if you're looking for a couple of blokes to make numbers on a ride we are keen as.

They are 250 km's away. I might give them a call and hit them with a few questions tho.

Cheers.

Anyone got some hot goss on where to buy cheap oil filters? What oil is everyone using? The Motul gear looks good - until you look at the $125/4L price tag!

Ballards do them @ $7 each in lots of 10. Delo400 for oil, less than $100 for 20l.

Steve

I'm with Steve on the Delo 400. Just buy the right type or not favourable to the Husaberg clutch. Hey Spooler, have you been on a WCTBS tour yet ? Mate of mine runs it out of Donnybrook. Does tours, thats it. PM me if you want his contact details.

Delo 400 hey? Never heard of it... doesn't mean it's not any good though. If it's so cheap, how the hell can Motul justify $125 for 4 litres??

At the risk of turning this into another oil theread, there is heaps on info on this site re Delo 400 and its benefits, just do a search, and there are heaps of people using it. The only downside is its a bit thick for cold starts when its below 5 deg. I use it exclusively in my 4 stroke dirt bike collection, and have done since switching to it on my 501 some years ago on Dale Lineaweavers recomendation. Its available at any Caltex/Chevron supplier. Don't get the LE version, just straight Delo 400. The last drums I gto were at last years Henty ag show where they always do deals and it was $78 per 20l drum. I got 3. Try your local wholesaler if you are in the bush.

Steve

At the risk of agreeing with and contributing to the ambushing of this thread !!!!
I have over 80hrs on my Berg with Delo 400 now and all is good. As Steve said it's a bit thick on the real cold starts, not really a problem, just let it warm up well before you open her up to much. Last 20l drums I bought from Caltex depot was this time last year. I purchased 3 drums for $230 so that's $3.83 per oil change ! I have the motards on and the big tank (will post some pics soon) for some road riding and can just call onto any Caltex in the country and do a quick oil change as they sell Delo 400 in 1ltr bottles as well. Gotta love the stuff !
Cheers :D
Garry.
