Akrapovic - Is There A Special Mapping?

I curious as to why every automobile and truck in American doesn't employ the same technology. Does it only work with one-lungers?
 
Bit of an update for everyone,

The carbon Akra can has been installed on my 2012 FE390. Easy bolt up, i did do a 5 minute burn in too let the wool warm up in the silencer.

Took it for a test ride down the street and Wow! The bikes power is now amazing, not that it wasn't before but the pipe really top's it off, it rev's faster and i could defiantly feel a difference in power increase over standard not to mention the weight saving. It gives the bike more poke of the start that's for sure.

As far as mapping and thing's i was concerned about, the bike run's 100% no coughing, spluttering or rough idle. It's on the standard factory mapping, when i changed the map switch to the faster mapping it just seemed to rev faster.

I was surprised when i started the bike up with the open style insert that it wasn't much louder then factory. I have had a fiddle with the inserts, with no insert it sounds awesome! Nice and loud :) Although i have not tested it on the road without the insert.

Will update again when i have taken the bike out into the forest with and without the DB killer and let you know how i go performance wise.

I've got a 2011 390 and I'm thinking of doing the Akro also.

Matter fact....I'm getting my dual sport kit from Boss offroad and thinking about doing the trail tech X2 HID and the Akro and sending him (VERY nice and helpful guy btw) my ECU for reflashing and also doing the map switch.

Dale EO has received my loot for my boingers and has my spring back from powdercoat. Getting close and VERY excited!

Hi, well so far since installing the Akrapovic on my berg it's made a huge difference. I run the pipe with no insert, it definatly top's the bike of nicely.

Map switch is excellent, since installing the exhaust i can tell the difference the map switch can make, for example i kept struggling with this rocky hill climb, kept loosing traction and the front wheel kept popping up even though i was as far forward as possible. Changed the map switch to the lower setting to reduce the front wheel coming up and i finally made it.
