Hi all,
this is what I had the last time I changed the engine oil

This is the cause:

Luckily the cylinder has not been damaged.

The problem you had on your rod is like mine, and also the particles you found on the screen (I saw the picture you posted before).
My oil pump was ok.
How may hours you had this problem?

130 or thereabouts, those hours were hard. It was a demo bike, 40 hiurs old when i got it, then I flogged the living piss out of that thing, miles of wot in 5th and 6th gear on coarse river sand, hard pack gravel roads, quiet country roads, smoke runs ( burnouts ) supermoto action around town ( yes trying to 'back it in' on knobbies does occasionally end in bloodshed ). Then i went to the 104mm piston at abiut 90 hours, i got lazy and would ask for full torque in high gears at low speed, which it readily delivered. All in all it's a wonder it survived this long
