I’ve just finished rebuilding my 96 FE350 and went for the first ride today. I noticed oil leaking from the gasket on the bottom end of the cyl. I first torqued the studs to 44nm then realized from another thread on this forum that I should be torquing to 46ftlbs. I’m currently torqued to 46ftlbs and am nervous to go any tighter but wanted to seek advise on what my options are. Should I attempt retorquing to a couple lbs tighter? Add permatex for further sealing? or ‘oils cheap, let her leak?
