Has anyone fitted a 570 piston to the ‘09-‘12 FE450?

Without measuring I can see about 2-3mm more deck height with the 570 piston. Looking at the crown design it looks to be fine to remove the difference. It will put the comp ring closer to the crown. Is this a problem? Do we have much squish to play with? Crown and combustion chamber would need to be cc’d. Is the outer dimension of the 450 sleeve the same?

Cheers guys.

The bore for 390/450 is 95mm and the 570 is 100mm. Will you increase the bore and make it into a 500? :)

Not me Jon. Don’t put ideas in my head about my 450!

Someone with a 450 was asking. Yeah 495cc

The only prob I can see is the reduction comp ring to height. I don’t know how much squish can be used. Don’t know the clearance on these so I doubt there is much there. Depends on what’s safe to remove.
