24 Hour Test - wrap up.
Well, we did very, very well.
Ricky Bozarth, Lee Fryberger, Adam Thissen, and Leo Burgos rode their hearts out, and our support staff of Laura and Alyssa Burgos kept distractions to a minimum. To recap, weighed in on Monday, our bike came in at 253 dry and 268 wet (pictured). The next closest bike was the KTM at 255 dry and 268 wet. Pretty different than the published weights, no ? After the weigh in, the bike passed the 96db stationary test with flying colors (93db).
The test started at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, and Dirt Rider editor Jimmy Lewis rode the first loop (27 miles) on our bike in one hour, four minutes. You can take a look at the pit chart, check out the test riders. **** Burleson liked the bike so much that he chose it for an additional evening loop. Said it had the best suspension of any of the bikes.
Our test went off without a hitch, and as you can see from the pics, the riders weren't exactly ballerinas
So the bike got tortured, but it did not miss a beat. In fact, our bike was tested for an extra hour, as Bryan Nylander jumped on for a quick loop at 10:00 AM, after the official finish.
So how did we do ?
I'm not getting my hopes up, as tests like this one can be very subjective. But the bottom line is that we did not make a single mistake. Our bike was perfect, we abided by the rules, and we got nothing but the most positive feedback.
This test will appear in the May issue of Dirt Rider, so let's all keep our fingers crossed.
Cheers,
Brett Saunders
