Wow! I just read this myself for the first time. And, I must say, I vomited a little bit in my mouth. I'm disgusted as a Berg enthusiast. so much for "Four Stroke Force".... Makes sense strategically, but Berg wasn't always about strategy. Oh well.

I suspect that soon enough as what usually happens when large corporations get involved we'll be driving KTM's be it Orange or Blue. This 2 stroke thing just enforces that feeling for me. If the slanted engine is so good how long before the orange bikes have them? I wonder how those swedish guys in the video smiling for the camera talking about a Husaberg 2 stroke felt. Please. We're not idiots. A sticker and a clutch cover do not a Husaberg make.
Taffy had a point though a company cannot exhist on 2 models of a bike and this is a dollars and cents decision.

Where is Tuts the Husaberg Two Stroke R&D Team Leader when you need him? :D
It's never a nice place to work at when a smaller company gets taken over by a bigger company.

I must say that they need to get the 390 down to 350 and they need to get the 570 hogged out to 625 etc.

  ahmen Taffy

450 is only needed because of competitions that need 450, the 450 engine size is silly

the 570 is too small and 390 too big....

1) when I saw the video I thought: 'someone has dubbed this with a ringy dingy dinga!'....it took a few seconds to comprehend it all...

2) are we agreed on one independence test everyone:
that if the husaberg sidestand is so upright it makes the bike fall over it is not an independent effort from the other end of the workshop but infact an exact copy in the finest JAPANESE sense of the word?

do I have a seconder?

this is good for workshop sales but our exclusive little club will have a new breed of ***** join. maybe we'll be glad of the days when we talked about; "how big is my bum in this?"

regards

Taffy

Yes, Hog that 570 out to 625  I agree. And i'll probably buy one.
Now the Husaberg TE 300.
Have you noticed the reviews on the KTM 300. The bike works. And very well at that.
So they copied it . Big deal. It's going to work very well isn't it .
They will be saying the KTM came first and the Berg followed. Both great bikes.
What i'm hoping to see from there is the test bed variations of the Berg to accent an already good platform.
Yes they are basically the same bike, but i'm hoping they will start splitting from here .
But we will see. Because they may not.
And of course I want the Berg to be better,

Word around the enduro races here in Sweden is that there actually are some mods made to the engines för the 'Bergs. Cylinder and head might be different but I'm still waiting on some sort of confirmation about that.

With the tank and the suspension i would not be surprised if they are actually the 2011 ktm xc bikes in Husaberg clothing rather than the exc bikes though i havent looked close enough at the rest of the bike.

do the xc bikes have engine mods as described by jocke compared to the exc?

Looks like the Husaberg frame is based upon the exc as the KTM XC has the new generation frame. Check out the top mounting of the rear shock.

yeah see what you mean and its not just the frame thats different, there's more difference in the tank than i thought. Doh!

First time I see one (bluesmoke) in an race here. I have no idea how it went.
