Duallys & Rabbits? Missing ME!?

Ummm...Fry....I know you are a clean living gent but did you drop the ball and start injesting cheap drugs or something?!

Sounds like they were a blast to rip on. I will look forward to getting some saddle time on them. When does yours arrive so I can plan a surprise visit

p.s. Good luck in Greece with your team at the ISDE...I think you are leaving soon?

Those bikes must have been really good everyone came home speechless 8O
and poor fry the impression must been mind blowing :D
come on guys we are like little kids waiting Santa

later VIKING

Really, its hard Viking. Typically an new bike feels better because its new and mentally a guy thinks it better since it is NEW. But this is REALLY NEW, and as David Larsson says, the only similarities are the front fender and # plate. The bike feels fresh sitting on it. And all of those that rode it could write a a spiele a mile long on dampening, steering, seating positions, the levers, vibration, braking, and...oh how it handles. But it is SO different, ie dually to Rabbit, it is way more than one years model improvement.

You just have to go see the movie yourself. Is it good? yes. Is it revolutionary? without question it is the best handling 4t, and better than some 2t.

This is the super model that does the laundry, dinner, makes the kids lunch and makes Sunday "Husaberg day".

Nice Work Fry! That is about the best feedback a guy could ask for!! Say no more....

well...unless you know the father of this mysterious Husa girl and can possibly arrange a meeting for me to ask him if I can marry her...or at least see if he is interested in adopting!

Cheers

Just got the word that my dealer has a 09 450 at home. I'll go there tomorrow and try to see if it is true and if so - chain myself to it until he let me take it for a ride.

Can you imagine how good it will be if they make the 650 next year. I would sure like to buy one. I also want to keep my 05 650 for a long time. Especially since the first new bike year don't have them. It's making our 650s hold a special place in this world as unique. And if they don't start making 650s in the years to come it makes our 650s even more special as a collectors bike. My dealer who has 3 bergs even said to hold on to it, that it was a good displacement.

As a long term dirt bike sick'o just coming back into the sport, I wanted one of those upside down engine Berg's as soon as I heard about'em. Just like I have wanted any Berg for many years already. Now, having just scored a sweet, new, '07, FE650 this year as my first Berg (a bike that I will be keeping until....something close to forever) I already know one of those VWBerg-a-rabbits is destined to become a perch for my butt cheeks too. Hopefully a 2010 model if I can swing the cash. That'll show'em!

My new 650 Dually is going to remain a fav of mine for years though and I have more upgrades intended already. I kind'a like that near 700cc drop in kit that JBS racing offers, and along with the freer breathing cam that Ben guy also makes available. Just a question of when. I think my Dually freighter may still shock the **** out of a few Rabbits along the trails that offer open stretches or long uphills.

Actually, I think every garage needs a kick-*** Dually for hauling the big mail, and also a slim and nimble Rabbit for the days when sprinting through traffic (or trails) is the order. How can it be any other way? Think of the Zen, The Ying & Yang balance, the pure symmetry, the Feng Shui, ....OK, sure, fun, bliss, & nirvana come to mind also.

570cc does seem a bit on the teensy side though....even for a Rabbit. An upside down engine Berg 650 would be really neat. In Fry's vernacular, I guess it would handle like a.....high performance Mercedes Sports Sedan (in keeping with the German car theme)...compared to a lumbering Dually of course. Good enough for me!

....The 450 feels like a 250 2t, adn the 570 like a 250F MXer.

fryguy,
would you still stand by this description?
i am assuming that you have two stroke experience.

when you say the 570 feels like a 250F [four stroke] i am assuming that you don't mean underpowered but that you mean it is a little slower in handling than the 450, which is like a 250 two stroke.....

what about engine braking....
what about gyro effect of the 570 vs 450....
what about coming to fr3......

The only question you guys should be asking is where i my new bike?

fryguy,
this is the exact question jaaaason keeps asking, especially when asked if he's coming to fr3.

tuts
