i don't think two different lengths of downpipe are good for an engine. least that's how the photos make it look.

Thank you for all your efforts SW. Its a tough job riding riding new Bergs but someone has to do it! It looks like the steering rake has been pulled in a little. Did you notice any quicker steering. The header pipes really tuck in a lot compared to the 04. Here's a pic for comparison:

I think the 04 graphics were the best ever but visually the 05 looks O.K.

from what various folks I spoke to said the turn in speed on the motard can now be adjusted but even on slow its fast if you get my drift :)

must agree with you on the graphics 04's are the best colours.....bit too much yellow on the 05's for my liking :p

cheers

On the FE+FC models the steering feels very similar to the 04 bikes, they both turn well.

The revised swingarm is the outcome of product service campaign for the 2004 models. This along with the revised front exhaust pipes (all models) and a revised high ceiling rpm for the 650 was also included.
The speedo unit is also the same unit that KTM are using. The downside is that to get all of the functions of the speedo/tripmeter you have to purchase the optional remote controller. My understanding is that the 3 bolt CNC machined triple clamps are the same units that were used in the 04 limited edition models and will only be avalaible in the FS and FC models.
Of note elsewhere is the quote that KTM have also moved to a cast rather than extruded alloy swing arm. To clear that up, the cast swing arm is only used on the EXC versions. The SX versions retain the fabricated/extruded alloy swingarm.

 I liked the 04 styling much better. Husaberg should get someone from TM to design the looks. I hate to see more and more KTM items being mounted on the Husaberg. I guess I'll wait with buying one as it isn't what I had hoped for. Or maybe I set my hopes too high?
