They raced a 4-stroke 250 in Sweden last weekend in the WC MX is that one gonna be in the program already for 2005?

How confident are you about the new exhaust and swing arm??

If you don't post the pictures (and full specs) the same second you get home I'll hunt you down and pull them out of your camera and with a pair of pliers :D

Hi Jocke D

The new swinging arm and exhaust were confirmed by the main importer. Lets hope he`s right

I must admit that the prospect of a 250 is appealing, certainly here in the UK there are becoming more and more common in the enduros.

Regards

Paul

Hi Frosty

I`ll second that, just hope they can shave some weight off.

Just been on with the importer, new front exhaust pipes(drop down to miss the front wheel on full compression), new silencer, a new more stronger swinging arm(a touch of gold colouring apparently), new bars and top clamp, new suspension internals and titanium valves. Thats all i know until Friday. (Can`t wait) :D :D :D :D

Today is friday...

Where are the specs and pics and a beautiful review of the new bikes????

Hurry hurry hurry :D

If there is a 250f coming for next year, I would be curious to see if it is the same as ridden by the KTM GP team but in the blue/yellow colour scheme. This way they can test the durability and then present it as 2006 KTM model. KTM set the release of their 250 back to 2006, apperently still not trouble free.

TOMORROW We can't wait until tomorrow. Don't you have any vacation time left? An afternoon dental appointment? You did get some pictures? We are not stressing here and would not want to pressure you or anything.

:D Well gentlemen, I thought by the time I got to the end of the thread I'd be seeing and hearing all about the 05's. But, alas, no info yet. I'm waiting patiently............................

Just as I am patiently waiting for Premiere in Arizona to get my engine done, they've had my motor for going on three months now. Of course in the middle of doing my motor they decided to move their shop, and when I called the other day the service manager seemed like he could care less about having my motor for that long. SIGH

Oh well, that's the way it goes. I'm definitely interested in the 05's hopefully they'll get here when all the others do and I'll be riding a new berg by christmas. Hey what a great thought, I'll give myself a new berg for chirstmas, what a guy;-)

Sorry about the wait i`ve been on nights. Heres whats new-

Grips- new domino grips, feel shorter but more grippy.
Bars- new bend alot straighter sweep(feel good when riding.)
Handguards- Alot better than the old brittle ones.
Seatcover- all blue all over grip(nice touch.)
Swinging arm- Slightly different for more rigidity(looks great.)
Kick start- different shape (tucks away better)
Front exhaust- pipe drops down to aviod the front tyre.
Silencer- KTM style(looks and sounds good.)
Graphics- good old yellow and blue(again look good.)
Suspension- don`t know the spec, but feel like the 04`s
Engine- don`t know spec, again feel pretty much like the 04`s

The track we went around was a deep sand one called Trax in Preston quite a technecal track(power sapping)

FE450- not the right bike to take around this track, but started well and went well but probadly suited more to off road.

FE550- similar to the 450 but with more grunt.

FC450- this apparently had a few engine changes, no problems with starting first kick just like the rest. The bike felt good, plenty of usable power, a light feel to the bike probadly because you were on the gas abit more than the 550. But an excellent bike.

FC550- this is the bike for me, again started great hot or cold cornered well but the pull was like a six cylinder tractor, the deep sand did`nt bother it. :D

This is the first time i`ve written any type of test report so take that into account when reading.

Special thank-you to Dave Clarke Racing (DCR) for allowing me to test these fantastic bikes.

For the UK lads Dirt Rider, TBM and Trails and motocross have all attended so watch out for the write ups. Sorry no pics, but i`m sure they will be posted soon.

A very happy brookester
