Dear Brett
Can you tell us anything about the 07 Bergs since they are in production?
I thought you ,or someone said the bikes are on the production line at the moment, so can you throw us a bone? :?:

1)Are we looking at big changes?
2) Displacment changes?
3) Will Berg produce a mx bike?

Inquiring minds need to know!
Thanks,

Berg should make a Fuel Injected 550 Tard that lays down 70 RWHP....carbon Fiber Mags, 5.5 rear and a 16.5 front, tubless with quick release axels,.....slipper.... 14mm offset adjustable bars/triples and dripping with Carbon fiber body parts.....Akro exhaust system and thru the seat intake......Oh yea, matching leathers with Tassles.....
or a 450 that matches the new Katoom.......

Injection?
V-Twin?
Bigger tank option? (So that Bobzilla can go do his ride, it's his dream, don't make him go buy a Honda, please)
How about a complete Force bolt-on dual-sport kit?

Ok let's go crazy: how about a V-twin? How can Aprilia be allowed to innovate?

Seems to be a big secret this year, cant get any info from anyone. Must be someone out there with the knowledge !!!

or is it that there just isn't going to be any changes?

ktm bought husaberg as a cheap and easy way to get hold of better 4st technology.

ktm have done a massive redesign on all of there 2007 bikes.

me thinks poor old berg is going to end up as the cousin thats kept in the cellar in austria.

seems about right cypher i read on one of the threads on here that husaberg were working on fuel injection and ktm told them to mothball it... hhhmmmm

If thats true, its sad and bad for Hsb...KTM might as well simply kill the brand once and for all and integrate Hsb engineers in KTM :(

From a bleeding edge company now Hsb is (?) simply on more brand
of bikes..."nothing" special about them ("except" weight and litle more)...Hsb sold they soul to KTM when they accepted to be bought by KTM :(

Sad, real sad and i hope you are wrong about KTM is holding Hsb progress.

I remember last year when SCVouga (KTM importer here) become also
the Hsb importer that i got very happy with it and in a interview they said
that we could expect big changes for '07 (notice however that in the interview there was NO ref. to EFI)....Maybe KTM only delayed EFI and there is something else ?!?

Or perhaps this:

Doesn't sound like Husaberg's getting the new closed chamber cartridge forks that the KTM's are gettin'... :(

Only a fool would think they could ever bend that subframe...

Must a be a silencer re-alignment... :D

Just read a interesting article in a UK magazine Motorcycle Sport and Leisure about the Polaris/KTM get together. If and when it is finalized it seems Polaris want to be a major player in the motorcycle market and have a wide customer base. There is no mention of Husaberg although the article indicates the more brand names the better.

Thanks for the info Brett ! Now some questions and comments...

I heard rumours about a new tank...guess that tank is EFI related and
so was delayed to '08 models ?

You talk about the new reinforced 550_only crankcase...not for the 650 engine ?!? if so, why ?

Now that the cat is out...dont you have by any chance some pics that you
could share with us , do you ?

Overall, i consider these changes good...they should improve reability of the engine...
i also love to have the pre-load adjusters and the other chassis tweaks...

PS:i hope that there will be an BLACK fuel tank for the FS or at least in the Force catalog that
we can also put in the FE models...

Sorry, there are some Austrian characters in some of the file names, that's why you can't see them
LOL, if you're on a Mac, it's all good

Very nice! I like the works replica model! Just enough yellow...

Ktm's twin-chamber fork is only going on the 2007 mx bikes. The changes mentioned for the 2007 Husaberg forks are the same changes that the 2007 KTM off-road models are getting.

I didn't see any mention of a Husaberg MXer, and unless Husaberg develops a DOHC or borrows the new KTM design, I suspect we never will see one. Looks like Husaberg's focus is going to be off-road and supermoto type racing.
