O.K Well I did it today and it was a lot more stuffing about than I thought. The bearings have the same external dimensions but I had to find a different seal for the top as the Berg ones are built into the top bearing and KTM runs an exernal seal with a lip machined on the outside of the headstem, I used one from an 04 Husqvarna TC250 that fitted nicely. I then needed a 29 x 40 x 1 washer to use as a spacer between the seal and lower edge of the upper clamp. The bottom seal turned out to foul on the frames heastem not allowing the bearing to seat so was trimmed down to 59mm. I then needed another thicker spacer to sit under the top bolt so the headtem could pull through to get correct adjustment. A quick ride feels as if its more planted and yet steers better at low speed which I am sure is what Taffy felt. I set the headstem to 18mm offset.
