You can foil the tank, it needs to be done properly though.
1. empty the tank and let the gases vent out and dry for at least a week, (some prefer a month)
2. Degrease properly and clean the surface.
3. Apply decals and let sit for at least 24h for the adhesive to cure.
If the tank vents gas through the plastic more than usual then use perforated decals.
This is what I'm going to try as a couple friend hav done this. If the decals bubble/peel off just remove and clean with "label-off" and retry. [emoji102]
