Sorry guys my website has collapsed, if you want to order a weephole fix kit and you have paypal just email me [email protected] and i will give you the instructions how to do it on paypal.

Thanks John ORANGEBERG

HI John,

Hope you don't mind, I made this a sticky so that others will be able to find you and your kit easily. I have one on my 04 550 and not a drop of oil since!!

If memory serves.........

You get a new water pump shaft bearing, and a special seal that takes the place of the original seal for the original bearing. The new bearing is very similar to the one on the 09's, and the seal sits down in the pocket where the original seal that fit on the bearing went.

You also get a little protector thingie that slips over the impeller circlip slot so you don't damage the water pump seal when you are removing or installing the side cover.

I highly recommend putting in a new water pump seal while you've got things apart as well.

Can't recall the price, except that it is money well spent.

From what i can gather my site is up going and you can purchase the kit online and view some images and info
go to http://www.orangehusaberg.com then click on genuine husaberg parts then to Upgraded Orangeberg weephole kit add to cart and checkout, freight to anywhere in the world is added in checkout.
The price is $85 Australian plus $15 shipping and can also be purchased direct through Paypal using the account number [email protected] please check that your shipping details are up to date with Paypal on the receipt for the sale
As DalEO wrote you get a new seal and a bearing in an alloy housing which are installed separately in the case after removing the original assembly and it comes with a protector to place over the shaft to protect the original waterpump seal when you reinstall the cover. It comes with fitting instructions and pictures.
When you remove the original bearing you must ensure that the grey seal which is part of the bearing is not stuck in the cover, use a seal pick and remove it before fitting my kit.
As im not a Husaberg dealer anymore i cannot supply gaskets and other parts that may be needed, you may need to purchase these from your local dealer, if your in the US you cannot go past the exceptional service with
Rick & Tammi Bozarth at Boss give them a call.
I work long hours in the mines hee now and somtimes i dont visit the site for weeks so please PM me if you want details and i will reply when i recieve the email.

I assume the kit stops the coolant leak from the weephole also. Is that correct?
Because it's not oil weeping out anymore. It is now mostly coolant.
Not a whole lot. But enough to want to get it stopped before it gets worse.

No No !!! my kit has no effect on the cooling system it only stops the oil leak from the telltale hole, you will need to change the genuine waterpump seal as normal if its leaking, be sure to cover over the groove and drive pin hole on the end of the shaft when you put a new seal in as they are very soft and the sharp edges of the circlip groove wrecks the new seal when you install and it will leak right away.
I use a inch and a half piece of electrical heat shrink thats just slightly bigger than the shaft and shrink it with a heat gun and cool it down with cold water, im lucky enough to have a spare shaft and i do 50 at a time to send with all my kits, it is reusable so leave it in your toolkit.
I have used this method on occasions to protect the seal when removing the big cover by greasing it and pushing into the seal an pulling the cover over. it works sometimes when ive had to remove the cover again just after putting a new seal in.
If you have excessive seal wear on the shaft i have found a seal with different dimesions that seals on a different part of the shaft and stops the leak for a while, it about 2mm wider and you push it in further so it clears the back of the water pump impellor.
Getting the seal out can be hard with the shaft in place and if you use a screwdriver or seal pick it can damage the housing outer seal surface, try 2 small self tapper screws into the seal and pull with pliers, i usally take the whole cover off.
Best of luck i hope this info helps you in some way.

OK this just started on my last ride...So if I have a small bit of oil only coming out of the weep hole (after riding really hard) I need the Orange WH kit? Or just the oil seal behind the water impeller? I can't understand why the bearing and clutch cover have to be removed for one seal. :(

If it is oil, your best bet it the OB kit. It has a very long life span compared with the stock bearing and seal. If it is anti-freeze you "only" need the seal right behind the impeller.

It isn't that bad to pull it apart and once you are done, you have fresh seals for both. Good to go for quite a while.

You can do the external seal pretty easy without taking the cover off with the drill two holes and put screws in them and pull method.

We have done quite a few of both.....

The reason i usually take the whole cover off is because i fit my kit and change the waterpump seal while im there as its easier, the seal directly behind the impellor is only the waterpump seal, you cannot buy the other seal behind that stops the oil as it is part of the bearing and comes as one piece and to access this assembly you need to take the whole cover off and knock the bearing out. Then when you fit a new seal and bearing from Husaberg it will leak oil again after a short while thats why i developed the ORANGEBERG kit.

I'm not finding the website John.
I would like to buy your weep hole kit.

Thanks John,

I just got your kit today.
I will be having it installed next week

I had the kit installed a few weeks ago.
Just rode it the other day around the neighborhood .
No leaks of any kind. Nice :)
Interesting thing though. When in gear at a stop the bike wanted to continue forward a little.
The clutch seemed to work fine though when starting to go again with it releasing fine.
Just when at a stop in wanted to keep rolling just a little. I could hold it without brakes,
but something a bit peculiar.
After getting back home it seemed to stop doing this and idled in gear fine .
What was that?

the clutch plates tend to stick together when cold and after no use for a while will drive forward when you engage the gear on take off, once you activate the clutch a few times under load and the oil warms up it tends to break the stiction of the oil between the plates. Some oils may be worse than others, downtime is a major contributor. Just tell the wife you need to ride more often !!!!.
Most KTM/Husaberg clutches are the same part and have always had tendancy to drag a bit whilst in gear.
Thanks for the feeback on my weephole kit

Thank you John,
I do ride every week. Except the wrong motorcycle. The Jap bike at the Vet track :D
I will ride the Husaberg more often now.
My mechanic was impressed with your kit and especially with the size of the rubber seal that
covers the shaft better.
It will be recommended to the next weep hole fix in his shop.
He has your info .

Pollo

Since installing the kit I have ridden the bike several times. The last 2 rides were off road for 30 miles each.
It still leaks oil from the weephole. Barely. It seems to be just a few drops, literally. Just enough to make it
down the side of the engine last week and today the same with a few drops on the frame rail also.

theres got to be something wrong then.
i take it, you took care installing it,making sure you didn't damage the seal getting it over the circlip groove?
that can be easily done,if not careful.
make sure there is no excess play in the c.b bearing, that will flog the seal out in no time.
it should be a tight fit where the new bearing boss goes into the sidecover, check that.
are you sure the shaft is ok,with no worn grooves where the seal seals on the shaft?
i know my c.b shaft had grooves worn in it.same thing, it was constantly weeping.
if that is the problem, the cheapest & easiest way, is to build the shaft up again with a bit of weld, then file it back to shape.thats what i did with mine.its been over 3 years now & i still have no leak from there.
other than that,a new shaft isn't cheap & you have to split the motor to get it out.
take a good look at everything,it doesn't just leak for no reason.
..weed..
