I am trying to determine the condition of the rear hub bearings? Should the rear bushing be hard to turn? Mine are. shouldn't the bushing drop out when the wheel is removed? The bushings on my 990 fall out and roll away by themselves.

I replaced the wheel bearings in them and reused the seals as I did not buy new ones. Now when reassembling the front wheel I can see the bearing is not seated against the fork "dropouts" Is it normal to be able to see some of the black axle on the non-disc side of the front wheel?

FS570 Was oiling the chain and noticed something wasn't right. Thought might be chain had bad links not it then maybe something with the brake not it either ? It turned out to be the rubber damping blocks in the rear wheel (crush hub) replace them all good now. Bike has 5200 miles on it.

I was considering changing my stock Fly Wheel to a heavier unit to get a bit more lugging power from the bike. Has anyone done this? and does it affect the top speed a bit trying to spool up quick?
