    Shock preload 08 FE450

The manual has me a bit confused on the maximum shock preload allowed on a 08 fe450. I’m trying to get a PDS4 spring in the rider sag range. At 10mm preload I need to go a little bit more in the sitting position, 12mm should get me in the range. Static sag is way off but if the spring...

    05 vs 06 FE shock

Just noticed the difference between clicker adjustments on these two years. 05 stock settings are 15 compression 22 rebound with 2 out on HS. 06 runs the opposite 22 compression and 15 rebound with 2 out HS. I assume this is not a typo and that the shock was configured differently for the...

    Ohlins TTX44 shock

I got a few Pm’s so thought I should write some words on the TTX44. Ohlins TTX44 for a 2008 KTM 450 in the 650. Its 1.5Kg lighter than the WP shock I tried to get a proper end and have it valved for the husaberg but no one seemed to want to know about it. so the easy way is to just...

    Frozen shock rebound adjuster

So... I'm in the middle of greasing and cleaning stuff and I notice that - #1 - Somewhere along the line my shock spring got put on upside down (Not by me)... #2 - My rebound clicker is frozen solid. Remedied #1 by turning the spring over, as for #2, I'm at a loss. Without tearing...

Should i change the spring of my rear shock absorber

Read some stuff on KTMTalk about heavy guys and the rate of the springs they use, which made me thinking about changing my reaar spring. I'm about 240lbs and on my 2004 FE 550 is the default 71-90/260 spring. If i look at the owners manual, there is an other option for a stiffer 81-99/260...

Piston rod nut removal on rear shock

Stripping this 4681 rear shock, and the 22mm piston rod nut is proving very difficult to remove. There is no damage to the shaft threads. On top of the nut either side of the rod close to the threads is a small indent, it also looks like its had green loctite on it. So my question, is it safe...

Hello, I have recently joined the Husaberg family wth a 2006 fe450. I have been trying to dial in my rear shock. It has a WP spring that I assume from markings is rated for up to a 250 lb rider. I turned the adjusment nut down to were I can see about 4mm of thread showing on the bottom...

    Modify FS Shock for offroad?

I'm considering getting an FS650 and then convert it for offroad use (as there are more used FS than FE available). As far as I have understood the shock length is 21mm shorter on the FS, does anyone know how this is done and how it can be modified so that it gets the same as the FE? As for the...

High Speed Compression Adjust 07 Shock

Is this adjustment only velocity sensitive? Is it functional everywhere in the stroke or just during the final travel? Is there a limit to it's adjustment, i.e. stops moving at 4 turns out?

KTM rear shock - anyone use one on their Berg?

Has anyone ever made use of a KTM rear shock on their Husaberg before? I was thinking of trying to fit one from a 450 / 525 (along with the KTM forks) onto my FS650 to make it enduro. I'm betting the forks are fine with the WP48's, not sure about the shock though since the reservoir is...

Needs some advice here guys. I have taken possession of my '06 FE550 ( weapon ! ) & doing the regular checks when you get a new bike. I have found that the part # on the rear spring is 92/250 which only references to the harder spring for a FS model ? I have measured the shock & it matches...
