On the inside of the stock plug cap, should be a small spike or similar that screws in to the HT lead in the same way that NGK caps do? I ask the cap on my 390 has no spike, the lead just pushes in, doesn't seem very secure yet it still works and has not let me down.

Is it possible to remove the spark plug from an '04 FE650 without removing the Clark tank? The plug wrench will fit, but I don't see how to put a handle on it to break it loose or tighten it. Is there a trick or do you remove the tank? Thanks.
