Since my engine decided to die on me, I did plan to rebuild it to a higher spec.
Firstly, I'm having my cylinder head ported, and I was thinking of fitting an Acropovic exhaust this winter.
If I do this, which changes will have to be done on the carb? As the engine breathes better more fuel...
I just got my hands on my first 2005 Husaberg 650 for 750 conversion. The conversion is now complete but whilst I was doing it I noted that the long vertical oil way that previously fed through the head to the rockers in the rocker cover is no longer part of the head casting and machining but it...
Any good/general rules of thumb on what the coloring of the head pipes might be as an indicator of lean/good/rich jetting?
Lean jetting results in hotter exhaust temps, rich jetting resulting in cooler exhaust temps, etc.
The stock head pipes on my 2005 FS650 have turned a nice combination...
Well, here we are, the 4th ride on the Husey in it's new habitat, and it's first ride on it's brand spankin new shoes(Michelin M-12's). While sitting at the dealer waiting for the tires to be put on, I imagined all of the pain and suffering that I might be inviting by actually improving the...
I just put a new (refurb) head on my FE 400. It started right up, and sounds good, but it's pumping water out of the weep hole that is in the head. This hole appears to be a small hole that leads to the cam bearing between the two O-rings that separate the oil side from the water side. I put...
the USA has a product for everything so i was thinking aloud whether any of you can recommend a product that could be used to fill a little recess in in the inlet port i have.
a kind of alloy weld type stuff.
i used to use araldite years ago but chemical progress is never ending...
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone knew who specialized in working on Husaberg heads here in the U.S. and the average price on a valve job and decking. Also, does anyone know who makes pistons for a 600 and their prices? thanks alot
:D
Anyone know the cylinder head volume (on average) for the 2001-2003 models? Also do you know the approximate valve pocket volume on the flat top piston?
thanks for any help ahead of time. :)
In the event one should ever find themselves in dire need of an obscure gasket I have numerous Husaberg patterns on file with two major gasket manufacturers.
Delivery time is one - two weeks average.

Dale
I'm having a problem with the bike head shaking and, not knowing much about suspension, I wondered if someone could point me in the right direction:
The bike is an 03 FE400 with only 20 hours running time. I weight 75kg with my kit on, which is supposed to be what Mr. Husaberg had in mind...
:( I had a bolt come loose on the head cover casting and now it is cracked. Cracked good. 2002 FE400e. Question: I maybe cannot buy just a cover because of the cam bore, but can the cover be welded up and align-bored as a repair option? I haven't heard of this problem yet here at UHE, but you...
