I suspect that this head has warped, it's one I cooked last year when i lost all my coolant. To test it I covered the mating surfaces with engineering blue and scraped it off with a straight edge, not that accurate I know but did the trick. I found low points directly above the exhaust ports...

So we all heard of bergs using the 1198 106mm bore, but Im more curious about using a ducati head on a berg bottom end, and as Im brilliant at ducati tuning and my friend is brilliant at machining you see the match. His wife is convinced hes got asperger too :)
Delivered some goods and he asked...
Hello guys,
So i have a fs650 '04 with a broken valvecover.
Got 2 550 and 1 450 covers and partnumbers match.
But the right side has a 4 digit number stampt on head and cover.
They match as a set. But my question is are they interchangeble (do i say this right?) and why do they match in...
Well I was in need of another head pipe shield so I would not need to keep moving the one I have from bike to bike. The one I have is a P3 guard that came on a FE 450. It seams thin compared to others I have used and is chipped and cracked so I decided to try a different brand. I ordered an...
I'm rebuilding my fe450 and found small crack inside inlet port on head. Machinist told me that is happening during molding process in factory and nothing to worry about. He showed me few car heads with same type of cracks.
Used Head, Cylinder and piston off a 2010 Husaberg FE450. Very light use on head and cylinder. Under 50 hours of run time. Long story short the motor was built for racing and had a new cylinder and head installed at 50 hours. You are viewing the stock cyclinder and head. One small mark on the...

Broken tappet and I think I need a new head
Good evening all,
I have a 1997 FE350 which I have been very slowly working on. The time has come to have a look at the clearances and top end to see if I can make it easier to start! I'd like to ask a few questions, please correct me if I use the...
Bought an 06 650 at the start of the season and had it stripped to check it out, all was good so fitted new mains and rings as a precaution. First time out boiled the engine due to leaving the track and overheated it trying to get back on track!:( About 120°c!, I should of knocked the motor off...
Hi all!
It's been a while since I've asked a question on my 2010 FE450 but here's the story...
I rode a 550 mile dual sport through SD last week and all through it I could hardly turn the bike, it wanted to go straight and gave me a very unplanted loose feel when turning. So after looking at...
I have blown my second head gasket in 60h of riding. The usual place next to the water jacket so compression is leaking out when going WOT.
Have been reading about copper gaskets but i cant find someone who still produces them. Anyone knows who stocks them? Or perhaps someone got a CAD...
Maybe some of you guys might not know but head light bulb from my FS570 fits my FE570S both 2011 with no problems. It a lot better light. makes me wonder how come it didn't come that way in the first place.
I am freshening the head and rockers on my 05. In addition to lots of scrubbing with Simple Green and a red Scotch-Brite pad, a bronze wire brush on a drill really restored the exterior. It looks similar (to me) to a vapor blasted part at a fraction of the price.
A $5.00 stemmed bronze wire...
Hi,
So last time I rode my berg I cooked it on really tight single track, and the radiator was only half full after the ride...
Now i've discovered that my head gasket is leaking, it's at the front of the engine, I've only noticed it now as the coolant is red and dripped down the sides...
