Last time I took a ride the 2nd gear doesn’t hold its position. If I go from 1st to the 2nd the bike goes to neutral when unloaded. If I go from the 3rd to the 2nd there is no problem. I got the impression that the lever doesn’t push the 2nd gear in position or the force...
I have just come off a KTM 625sxc and have a few questions in regards to the 04 fe 450 i pick up in a weeks time
On the KTM i didnt use the clutch after starting off, this was for both up and down changes, all that was needed was a small closure of the throttle and the box would slip through...
i have the latest gear selector fitted but somehow i'm stuck in gear all the time - why?
if i'm in second i have to pretend to want neutral by gently prising the lever back to 'N' and then trying for third. if i can somehow go 300 yards the vibration will allow a 'kick up' to the next...
Well, my buddies VOR seized the big end bearing so it is completely dismantled in my shop. Can see the Husaberg influence on the top end and oiling system. Gear drive for the cam is way cool. Anyone have a clue as to where I can obtain a rod kit? Dan at Motoexotica is out and VOR is RIP.

Would any be so kind as to let me know the following:
# teeth on upper timing gear?
distance between the two screw holes (same gear)?
diameter of center hole (also same gear)?
Many thanks,

The weakest link on my 2002 501 e-start system is the sprague clutch (free wheel mechanism). You know, hit the e-start button if the motor isn't completly warmed up and hear the starter motor kick-out and spin freely without turning the bike motor over. I replaced the sprague clutch itself not...
Anyone installed the gear shifter from a new husaberg part number (80034031000) on a 2001 fx470e.I bought one from MotoXotica and I cannot get it to fit the splines on my 2001.
I changed a 450 case set to a 470 set at work today and all that resulted in a lot of really loud gear noise.I took the cover off and it seems that the gears run really tight.I see that one clutch basket takes a bushing and the other one takes a double set of caged bearings. The mains are also...
Hi Folks,
I need some ideas or advice what to do: As I mentioned in another post, my 1997 FE501E quit all of a sudden while riding in the woods. The diagnosis: the cam gear broke apart and punched a hole in the head towards the water pump. Besides this, there is some metal scraped off from...
Dear gentlebergs:
On my 03 FE400e, I had a problem with very rough slow idle and occasional starting problems. My mechanic had been doing a variety of things to try and install an auto clutch per my other posts and thought he would check the timing and rework the jets.
When he worked on...
i've just fitted the later gear selector claw today and will report how it goes.
the boss that fits into the engine case now sits on a shoulder of welded metal that forces the base plate 3mm away from the engine instead of 1.5mm.
the base plate and the claw plate are far thicker at...
I'm on the hunt for riding gear to protect this old bag of bones. I have surfed the net, and found all kinds of interesting, flashy and fancy gear, but I thought I would ask some suggestions from the UHE group. Pretty much the only issue I have, is that Im 6'6" tall, and pushing 290lbs (not sure...
Help I tore down motor found that the counter balancer gear
and the gear on the crank are missing teeth 8O any idea
what would cause this :?: is there bearing failure that would
cause this the mains feel tight and so do the counter balancer
when I replace these pieces crank gear and...
I was wrong, sprockets weren't 16/40, manual is wrong. I pulled the rear & it's a 45, front is a 15, I should've looked before ordering. Anyway, I'll correct the numbers. Sorry for the misinformation!
After riding the bike the first time I noticed how tall it was geared. Did some...
you know, if i say i don't over rev my bike i'm not strictly telling the truth. i try not to overrev my bike but i can't change gear quick enough!
it is just ssoooooooo hard as i sit there foot pressing hard up, up and up and yet still the blinkin thing won't change gear.
i tend to...
What gear does everyone use. I've been using whatever I could afford at the time:
Alpinestar vector boots, love em
O'Neal helmet I got it for 1/2 price because it had a blemish, wich I rubbed off at the counter after getting my receipt
Pants and jersey from the budget shelf, Thor...
Was having a look over the bike the other day and I noticed there is is a bit of back and forth play in the shaft the gear lever is attached to. Is this normal?
Sorry this ain't exactly Husaberg, but does anyone (preferably in Oz but shipping may be an option) happen to have a spare gear lever return spring to suit a '96 TE Husqvarna that they would be prepared to sell? They are probably the same from '92 onwards.
I can't go too far 'cause my mate's...
