Friend is rebuilding his 2000 FC501, mostly on the top end where it needs attention.
He's replaced the cam, cam bearings, and will be replacing the cam chain....and was asking if it was necessary or even worth while to replace the mechanical cam tensioner??
He said while he's in there he...

We have developed the new billett alloy exhaust end cap that adapts to HUSABERG 04,05,06,07 standard muffler we claim about 2 horsepower over the standard combination with a massive improvement from zero to mid range, it includes a small arrestor which can be removed . If you live in Australia...
Anyone in Husaland have experience with modifying the stock Rear End Silencer from a USA 2002 FE501E? I would like to get a bit more flow from what otherwise would appear to be a stock silencer to the US Forest Service.
The silencer is one of the "long" Arrow-type units and the parts catalog...
I am in the process of rebuilding a KTM560 SMR that lost it's crank bearings after 6 hours.(brand new)
I see that KTM and Husaberg both specify to only shim for proper clearance on the ignition side. Is there a reason to only shim that side?
The reason I ask is when my crank was removed...
hi there all. just wondering if any of you fellas has replaced a big end bearing without replacing the conrod.
i have had the motor pulled down about 4 months ago.the big end bearing felt like it had no up and down play in it so i,m thinking there couldn,t be much wear in the conrod or pin...
Hi guys,
I was just wondering if any of you knew the price of the FC muffle end cap that would fit a 05 650. As I am looking to convert my FS650e pipe into a straight through FC pipe for a bit more flow.
I can get the end cap in Aus, but its Aus$100. If its like US$20, it would be worth...
Gidday all,
Just wondering if anyone has come accross a Generic aftermarket part by 'Pro-moto' or 'pro-bike', or something of that approximate name, the product is an exhaust silencer end cap, to fit Berg and KTM silencer cans.
the product has a significantly wider appature than the FE /...
I've lost one of the two bolts (#15 on page 24 of 01 parts manual) used to adjust the rocker arm play. It came from the fact that the thread was gone, I guess, because the bolt would turn endlessly (swear it's not from me overtorquing, this time).
How bad is the fact that I cannot adjust the...
I am getting real close to pulling the trigger on an 07 FE450 that will become a 380 instantly. I dont really think I will ever put it back to a 450.
Is there any market for selling the 450 top end? All I am trying to do is to recoup some of the costs that the 380 kit will entail...
I was just concidering a bike event that consists of fairly open terrain and requires top end speed,
I have an 04 fe550 ,I run a 16-48 gearing which will give me a top end of approx...
The bike: 2003 501
The rider: 33 year old male 220 lbs (yes I'm fat) with maybe a novice to intermediate ability
The problem: It feels like my front springs are too soft. When I ride trail whoops the front tire and suspension suck up a lot more than the rear. This makes the back end...

For the first time in 7 years, I woke up New Year's day as a non-Husaberg owner 8O I sold my trusty 470 to Pete (mrk3cobra).
I have thoroughly enjoyed my two bergs. They are unique and great machines. The best part of the ownership experience is the community that is found here in this...

Hi all, I have been having a blast riding my 02 FX470 that was rebuilt this last winter. I have only one issue. After a high speed crash, the bike has picked up a push in the corners, and a little unstable at times. After looking through the owners docs( very nice Taffy) I read where the 02s...
