Last year I set out to replace my water pump seal on my 650; as a newbie, it took a few tries to get it right (more like 6 seals before she was water tight). I used the clutch cover gasket a couple times too many, and she had a small weep from day one. This never really bothered me until now...

Is this aftermarket? It's fitted with a 5mm plastic spacer. Would this flow any more coolant with a standard impeller? I think Ben Ballard used to make high flow impellors for sidecar-x I'm wondering if this is one of his covers?

Today I saw that "hole" in my valve cover. Last time it was not there. It looks like it has been eaten by a chain? But the cam chain is tight even without tensioner. Has anyone seen something like that?

Can anyone confirm whether this is simple it not? For a Berg/KTM 2013 450. Is it a case of drain oil and replace? Do I need to lie bike on side? Or is it harder and require more parts to be removed? Anything I need to be careful about?
