When reinstalling the timing chain can you reuse the previously pressed out link pin and press it back together or should you use a new master link?

is it automatic or does it need to be manually adjusted, just seems a bit noisy in there thats all!

I have confirmed that the screws that are intended to hold the chain slider protection on the swinging are are m6 on the 08 models, however, some come with M5 screws? Does anyone know when the screws changed and whether the m6 is better than the m5 and cups that secure the protection strip?

on the 2008 model mine are M5, but the manual says they are M6. Is the manual wrong or are some 2008 m6 screws that hold the chain rubbing guard? Anyone worked out how not to have the lower screw cap destoyed or does it depend on the spocket used?
