Took the rocker lid off my 550 more for a nosy than anything noticed that the cam bearings didn't have the RS seals on like shown in the manual will this be any detriment to the life of the bearing or do most people remove the seals when fitting new bearings.

im refitting the starter back on a 650 fe before i start all the internals have been removed so have replaised the brocken slipper cogg and the roller bearing.now is there any more roller bearings that will have been removed with the gears from the starter system i cant see any in the owners...

Still rebuilding my 400/600 bitsaberg. Gradually the thing is coming back together. It now runs ( rather well actually), looks fairly good but I still need to get the gearbox sorted.
