Hi guys, I have a 650 fs 2004 , on cold start up I run it with the choke on for around 20 seconds. When I take choke off then the engine makes a tapping sound and then the engine dies, I then repeat process but leave choke on for longer untill it is warm. Is this just because it isn't warmed up...

If I put my choke on and start bike up, when I take choke off there is a loud metal knocking noise coming from engine, it only does it when cold, is this normal? When bike is warm it ticks over fine it's just on start up when I take choke off it makes loud tapping noise then cuts out. Any help...
