You guys are killing me!

Skinny, Thought I would add my story about Bergs. I'm a senior rider now, used to be a British bike guy. I raced BSAs in my youth. I bought a new 1992 Husaberg, in 92. I raced it in the Utah desert, and in the enduros in Colorado. Never a failure. I bought a new 2000 FE501, rode it alot. Loved it. I needed a bit less bike, sold the 501 to Stoveguy, and bought a new 2006 FE450. This new 450 is the best bike I've thrown a leg over. I change oil frequently, check the valves several times a year, and do the maintenance that any bike would need. Over the years, I have had a lot less drama than owners of some of the more mainstream bikes. Valves on the Honda four strokes comes to mind. Several of my close friends ride Husabergs as well. So, ride that Berg of yours, take good care of it, and see where it all leads you to. I highly recommend the brand, but I am biased!

Thanks Buzzard. I love the bike so far, but being a 98 and not knowing totally what condition it is in worries me--especially after reading here! but she runs good now. I just put a new Big Bore sysyem on and man the bike is even more powerful! Now I got to re-jet, so off to the shop and re-jet + a tune-up!
