check the jetting, they used to come with a 38 pilot and BODVT needle. A 42 and an OBEKR will work much better, but to get perfect will take a 1000km and some tinkering on your behalf, due to elevation, humitidy etc. Taffy has a jetting kit as well. Popping on decel is indication lean off idle to mid, usually needle position
