:D happy to report new rekluse installed yesterday. Yippee! Due to my excellent mechanical skills, worked perfect first try. brakeslides.. no problem. geez, this is fun, but still reaching for non-existent clutch lever.

My Rekluse gets installed tonight by some friends who have put them into several bikes already and could probably do it with their eyes closed. I know it's supposed to be easy, but I'm a wrenchin' ******.

Looks like I get to break in the clutch at the same time I'm finishing my bike's break in. I managed only about 2 hours of run time last weekend. I loved it, but I'm ready to start twisting the throttle a bit more.

Now if my Boss skidplate would arrive, and if I would get off my tail and order the rad guards, then I'll be close to all set-up...except for dialing in the jetting.

afaik, ken, the external adjuster takes the place of the clutch lever and meters the level of engagement by means of a spring applying a slight tension on the actuating rod that goes thru the case. if i left the clutch connected instead of the external adjuster, it wouldn't know how much preload to get. remember, i'm still in the dark ages of cable type clutches. at this point i'm saying good riddance.

Hi Ned,

Hey congrats on your upgrade. I have a question, does it make it any easier kickstarting?
