what's a rino race silencer like?

it does seem that way at times but taffy is a valuable member of the community. he has a fairly short fuse and a well developed sense of sarcasm (as do i), but a lot of people take great pleasure in setting him off.
he's here to stay, people. lighten up!

FWIW

So Ned, Your pretty much saying that he is a valuable member and can be a sarcastic prick and does not have to watch his P's and Q's like the rest?
I have no problem taking sarcastic digs or joking around for that matter. But when someone calls me stupid and attacks me when I am new and just helping another user out with correct info then it is on. No one deserves ****.
Maybe take a look back in the suspension section when I was giving a user some advise on handling and see how he was then, that is where this all started as he felt threatened.
He needs to understand that he is not the only one on this forum with knowledge, he needs to understand there are other shops that sell parts. This forum is not only about him, I don't see it called the Unofficial Taffy Forum.

I tried to make a mends to this and got involved in a conversation and was working with him and agreeing to what he was saying. Thought it was behind us, and then he went at me, telling me to stay away and what do I think I was doing being kind to him. This was after out little war was over and it was all quiet. So be it, its not what I want, but I wont let him do as he pleases.

I would say everyone here is valuable even if they have no mechanical skills and even if the ride something other than Husa. As this is what keeps Husa alive.

We all need to get along, but I will be ^$^%$ if I going to take his crap. If this causes you grief than it is your choice to stay away from our posts. I will continue to help other users as much as possible, I will continue to defend when the prick lashes out. I am one who stands up, I have seen him lash out and watched users back away, so maybe I am not only defending myself, but those new and old users who leave due to his BS.

you both need a chill pill. i don't know you, but i do know taffy and if this is going to deflate, as per past experience, just drop it and quit firing back. i'd appreciate it.

...and then you went on an old thread and:
a. quoted Taffy's last post from 11 (!) years ago (post was non-offensive), and
b. insulted him, and
c. got offended when he insulted you back

Is what I say kinda true?

All the points you make may be valid and completely justified, but that doesn't change the fact what you did here on this thread is a 'you started it' thing, unless I am missing something, in which case, if proven wrong, will happily change my mind.

disclaimer: I have no problem with either of you, just trying to see the facts here as they are.

It was way prior that post my friend, This was just the backlash after the point. We were fine for about 7 months and all of a sudden he went at me when I was helping another user out. I walked away from this once and all was ok, and here we go again. I aint putting up with it is all.

This was the straw, way before the 11 year old comment.

FE350

last week you said that the X-bushing was rubbish - what cock!!!!

now your telling people not to move their forks because the bike will 'flop'? you're also giving people suspension info that you said people couldn't possibly know about!

well Mr. Expert, don't stop there, so now tell him how to get over it! you're the expert!

or have we reached the limit of your knowledge (vast it isn't)

Taffy

All well I was having a nice quite posting with other users on this forum. Everything was fine prior.

As I said, I'm not negating whatever is between the two of you, I've been on the forum enough time to see what's going on.

It just seems odd to me that you'd go on a completely unrelated thread to continue an argument, and pick an actual normal post to do that, and an 11 year old one at that :) I suppose I just underestimate the amount of history and anger between the two of ye!

hi,,

Yamaha Rhino Aftermarket Exhaust
At a whopping 22hp in stock form, the power to weight ratio ispretty sad if you are used to riding an ATV or sand rail. The 660cc engine isthe same one that Yamaha uses in their Grizzly ATV (probably weighs half of aRhino).

If you buy a Rhino to cruise the hard pack or maybe just use itto go camp to camp on the sand dune flats, it will be more than capable. On theother hand, if you want to really dune with your Rhino, you will be looking formore power real soon.

Intake, exhaust and jetting are very typical bolt-on typeimprovements that have been made to ATVs and motorcycles for years. Since theRhino has an ATV engine, it is not surprising that most of the same aftermarketexhaust manufacturers now have offerings for it. The Rhino has differentpower/torque needs and also has a bit more space to work with so some companieshave some unique solutions.

The biggest problem with changing out your OEM exhaust is tocombine strong performance while minimizing noise output. On USFS land and in the state of California, off-road motorcycles are required tooperate at 96db or less when tested with SAE J 1287 standards. Other states likeOregon (at the Oregon Dunes) have a 93db level. Noise regulation and enforcementis becoming a popular issue among non-riding residents, state forest personneland legislatures looking to constrict the rapidly swelling ATV industry.

Many exhaust manufacturers are focusing resources on producing quiet exhaust products because they know their survival depends on quiet technologies that will increase the ever-sought-after horsepower.

For our Rhino Exhaust Buyer’s Guide we will focus attention onthe manufacturers that provide the best performance with USFS compliant noiselevels. The list below lists advertised noise level output. From our experience, the advertised levels for most if not all of these pipes is not accurate. Do your homework and ask questions before buying. If possible, listen to different pipes first hand before buying.

Also be aware that to achieve the most power improvements, aftermarket exhaust requires re-jetting the carburetor and opening up the airfilter and intake.
