That's over 100km/h average for the entire life of the bike! Pretty good going!
I think you mis understood the 13 000km's are not on my bike
Since I use beriinger brake disc my speedometer doesn't work very good (magnet/receiver)....
Use to have average speeds around +-65km/h now it's always 50 or less so the mileage isn't correct.... the speedo says a good 7000km but I thinks it's more like 8000 now (had the beringer from 5000km )

There was a full EP system already on the bike;)
So how much hp now? 45-50 on the wheel :?:
Currently 124 hours on the clock :D
PS my dealer installed an new self made cam chain tensioner in my bike.... (without asking me  ) and I think it's crap I'l ask the stock one back
In december I will try to renew my berg's engine myself do'nt want to pay lots of cash for some work that's not done properly 8)
I'm a noob working on engine's but with lots of time and a little help from people/internet I'l hope things work out

It has exactly 50 bhp. But after I've fixed I hope it'll go smoother and maybe it gets a little bit more hp. It broke down just after the 50 bhp was measured so something was worng in the engine that time. I was looking for another Berg but it would be a sind to sell while it just is like a new one (almost everything in the engine is new or fixed).
see you on (or off 8) ) the road.
50hp is great for a 450 if you ask me 8O
I would like to buy a 570 but do'n have the cash for it now + i still love my 650 a lot 8)

i tried that belguin bloke with an email requesting info on buying his systems but i didn't get a reply. would one of you belguin lads make contact with him? ask him how good id his english and whether he'd sell in the trade?

BBR, you need a DVSK to save power and a top end cam. if buying a cam/ DON'T strip the engine before you have bought the cam and fitted it and measured the valve to piston. then when you strip it you can have the pockets in the piston machined ahead of the rebuild.

Taffy
Whats a DVSK  thx for the advice  sounds realy complecated to me but I have some friends who have some mechanical skills :D
I was planning to buy the dual valve springs+cam chain from you do'nt think I'l need a new piston yet but i'l see... top end cam would like that but that would be a big part of my total budget and would like to have some non engine related things to :? (decals/new seat cover/new handguards/chain/paint some stuff)

Thanks for the info Husaden, I'll look at it if I pu the Beringer calliper and disk on my bike

Thanx for that I already tried the stock magnet (drilled a hole on same place braking disc) and a bolt with magnet inside on 2 different places....
And used other bolts for my disc aswel that works best but still not perfect... when the disc is hot it works very correct but when it cools down numbers start to fiip (km/h) still got the hourmeter
Saterday will be the last day in 09 I ride the berg I will miss it

Belgian,
Is your gap small enough ?? or maybe a new pickup would cure it ??
I have a theory here.... and thats only what it is, i'm no doctor in magnetism....

If you place your new magnet inside a bolt... wil it then weaken it, as it'll start magnetising that bolt as well ???
My magnet is sits in a hole only, and clear of any metal in both ends...

Just a thought...

Anders, DK

I had to order a cable+pickup sensor to get my speedo to work...
But that costs 70€! Now I bought a bycycle computer for it 15€

Long time I posted /looked on this site
Since last time I have ridden the fs570 for an entire day and it's great! 8) but I'm to attached to my 650 to trade it in + lose couple of thousands and still love to ride it...
So I brought the engine to taffy and now it's better than new
In 2 weeks my 650 will be ready to go for another 2 years or more
Just waiting for some parts to arrive and tommorow I'm putting the engine back in :D

in order to avoid this type of sticky situation, i buy a well used bike, keep it for a long time, dump tons of money into upgrades and improvements, and plan on losing most all the money i have put into when i give it away for 10 cents on the dollar.
i have been very successful with this formula to date, so why fix something that isnt broke?
plus, who wants to have a new, or near new bike?
i know that berger's eee-go requires it in his cause, but i dont know what is your excuse.

i believed you till you got to the bit about; "dump tons of money into upgrades and improvements".

got to admire you for trying it though fella...

Bike is almost ready
Had a first ride today but didn't realy enjoy it cold+very foggy couldn't see a thing :?
Next ride will be better 8)

I also said it on our Belgain forum, it's extremely nice done  Hope to see it soon dude :D

Hi BelgianBergRider,

Without knowing your spanner-skills, don't underestimate the knowledge involved in putting back an engine together. It might be well worth the money to have it done by a knowledable workshop.

Goodluck anyway,
Adriaan

hehe, you own a 650 and are looking for a 570, and i own a 570 and hope to trade it for a 650 :D
in my opinion the 07/08 bergs are the most beautifull and if i can believe my dealer the most reliable too

i'm a litle confused now, i went to 2 berg dealers in belgium and they told me that the 650 is much more reliable then the 570, but on this site people are declaring the 570 to be much more reliable :?

(i am talking about supermoto-use, offcourse the lifespan of a dirtbike is longer then one who is only being used for road-purpose)

Greetings from someone who is doubting his husaberg-religion

It's an old topic but the bike has changed from owner  I hope I don't have too many problems with it, but I'll love the extra power compared to my 450. This weekend I'll have the bike and mine will be sold so then I'm going for a little walk with it

Greets from a happy person in Belgium

Tom (BelgianBergRider) his machine  He now has bought a aprilia rs250, so no Husaberg or supermotard anymore
