What do you need and aprox what would be the cost?

Come on, any good Husaberg dealer should be able to answer that one for you

Quoting the illustrious Frydaddy:

the 496 is a 550 with an 03 501 piston and sleeve. The 550 stroke is .6 mm shorter than the 501 hense the 496.

Is it a little less demanding on a moto track? (corners in particular)
It should rev a little faster I would think and that should help on a moto track as well? What is the aprox cost on parts Brett?

All joking aside.

If the above is your objective simply install a camshaft with increased duration / overlap and remove the balance assembly.

I believe the 496 has more to do with class displacement limits then that of performance characteristics.
